Best place to surprise adult with sister cruising too. - The DIS Discussion Forums

My husband knows we are going on a cruise for his birthday. The surprise is that his sister and brother-in-law are cruising too. We will drive to the port and they are taking the Disney bus. When and where should we meet for the surprise!!
Any ideas?

If you and your DH will be there in time to board before his sister and and her husband are in the terminal then Iwould have his sister call your cell about 20 minutes before she boards. Then you can tell your DH you want to go down to the atrium to see them announce some new boardesr and cheer them on (just for fun you know) and then you will be there when his sister is announced.

Oh you are very welcoe. Hopefully some other people will chime in with more ideas so you will have lots of options to consider. Whatever you do, I hope it comes off great

I think that is a great idea!

You could get a table in PC for lunch and tell the server that seats you [quietly so that your DH doesn't hear you] that you need a table for 4 people and they will be joining you for a surprise. They could walk up behind him and ask if they could join you or is someone already sitting at the table.

You could wait til dinner on the first night and just magically be seated with them (if your ressies are linked)

If you are in connecting rooms, you could "open" your door (enough so that they can push it open) and when they get there they can come through.

Or you could just happen to run into them at the muster drill (again, if they are in your area).

But, I like doing as soon as possible, so the idea of hearing them get announced sounds neat. Or meeting at lunch.

I really like this one. It could also work with lifeboat drill if your cabins are close.

I really like the idea about just showing up for dinner, but I would be so afraid that one of them would accidently run into your DH before hand. Which would be very disappointing if you missed it.

Thank you for all the great ideas. I am going to take my cell phone to coordinate with my sister-in-law. We are not sure of the timing but will use one of the plans and let you know.
