AK Central FP Gone? Confirm?

I just read on another site that the Ak Central Fastpass location is gone. Can someone confirm this? I was looking forward to it.

adding: the post also said that the parks are empty

I hope they are still there. I was going to work them into my plan for our upcoming trip.

They were supposed to be a test during August...seems like they are right on schedule.

Unfortunately...

That said - I think that the machines not being there helps those of us who do some planning. Less people figure out how the FP system works and leaves them for the rest of us!

From what I heard it wasn't that great anyway. The wait times for the rides weren't posted and neither were the return times. Makes it difficult to use FP effectively without that info.

BUT, there were a couple of other "unique" things about utilizing FP's from these machines that made their use very special.

We used them during our trip last week. I loved the idea! We got to AK at park opening, grabbed fastpasses for KS and headed straight for EE. We were able to do EE about 4 times before the line got to a 20 minute wait time. Then, we headed over to KS by 10ish and still got to see all the animals out roaming around. Perfect!

Then why would Len Testa recommend not bothering with them? Those were the reasons he gave. *shrug*

Don't you walk right by the wait times board to get to this? And walking all the way to EE or KS guarantees a later return time compared to getting the FPs there.
