Does anyone know if the Disney Dining plan will count as dining? I am actually debating if we use the dining plan vs. actually paying at the restaurants. Won't that be something if they don't count.

Does anyone know who I call about finding out?

Thanks!

My guess is that the DDP will not count as dining because it is prepaid as a vacation package and will show like that on the statement. You can call and ask at Disney Visa I guess for the best answer.

Is it me? I thought anything you bought from Disney itself would be considered acceptable. Don't we automatically get double off the bat also?

You have just 'hit the nail on the head' of by biggest complaint of the Disney Visa card! Before they started sending these promotions (i.e 5x on over $1000 is my latest) there was never any type of bonus for things charged at Disney (parks, stores, online shopping), just benefits like 0% on vacations booked, a free 5x7 in the park and some shopping discounts. I have a Royal Caribbean card and I get double points for any charge with RCCL. I only use the card to book cruises and pay for on-board credit gifts for family members.

Edit- I just bought 2 AP's vouchers at Disney store this summer, trust me if there was a bonus for Disney store purchases I would have charged them!

No. the 5 times is an offer sent out to some and you have to sign up for it. You should check out the rules/reg on Disney Visa's website or call them.

This was the first time I ever received a 5x offer, so I called to enroll, but I was confused about the terms. I just got off the phone with Chase and apparently my offer was for all categories, no minimum monthly charge amount! I do have a cap of $200, but between DD's orthodontic payments and Christmas coming up, I should have no trouble earning the max. This will go nicely towards our April trip.

When Chase figures out the total dollars spend for each cat do they go by month or by the billing date. My billing date is the 4th of each month, so will they start counting the totals starting on day 1 of each month or the 4th of each month. Thanks.

Chase goes by the calendar month for their bonus rewards regardless of when your closing date is.

Bonus rewards appear in your account 6-8 weeks after the transaction occurred. So you will most likely not see the bonus rewards until your December or January statement.

It seems that I have no restrictions on my categories of spending, but can gift card purchases count towards rewards? I know sometimes that's considered purchasing "money", but I wanted to check.

TIA!

I haven't received this promotion yet but I was hoping someone can answer this. Do they send the promotion with your statement or separately? Thanks in advance!

The promotion was sent in a separate flyer via snail mail.
