So, WE'RE BACK! It was a great trip! For your tuning for the first time, here is a recap:

First the Cast!

ME: Photographer, computer engineer, Think and Pirates fan, thrill rides fan, 30 years old (the purpose of this trip)

DH: Computer Engineer, Stitch fan, thrill rides fan, 27, my friend, my lover.

WHY? Like we need a reason to be at Disney! But it was all about my 30th Birthday.

WHEN? Aug 26th-30th

WHERE? SSR (thanks to a magic pin code)

With all the introductions done, let's start with our report!

Our adventure started, on August 26th. DH got out of work a little late that what we expected, and we ended getting out of Clearwater at 3pm instead 12m. Almost getting there, there was a storm over Orlando area, pretty scare to drive but after a while we got this view:

We're home!

Since DH was kind of sleepy and I was driving, there are not photos of the entrance (

)...

We did the Online Check in, and when we arrived everything was already prepared. They had all the info in an envelope with the keys to the world and everything....And Of Course....the magic pin! The girl who attended us at the check in notice that I have a "Hispanic" last name, so she gave to pins in Spanish and English.

The Online Check in line was at the right of the counter.

We were assign the 2214 @ the Congress Park, walking distance from DTD, not that far from the Lobby...

Here are some pics...

The kitchen was fully equipped.

After setting everything at home, we decided to kill sometime @ DTD before our reservations at Planet Hollywood!

I was so glad the we had reservations, the line outside was horrible!

Once inside, we decided to order just appetizers. We weren't using the DDP for this one, instead we used the $15 off coupon!

Indecent Proposal -Yummy! and the VIP Platter on the background

VIP: Chicken Crunch, Buffalo Wings, Texas Tostadas and Spinach Dip

We also ordered some bruschetta...Everything was tasty!

Our favorite bug

We asked for the check...and when our waitress came back....she surprised me with this!

The first free-dessert! The magic of the pin has being unleashed!

It was french vanilla ice cream, caramel and whipped cream - classic, yet delicious!

The City Hall of Nightmare Before Xmas!

After PH, we decided to go back to SSR. We hanged out in the lobby a while, watching old Disney Cartoons...a favorite!

That was our first day.....IT is only the beginning!

Wow, Happy Birthday!! Loved SSR when we stayed there. We were in Congress Park also and loved the easy walk to DTD!!

We loved it. So sad that we didn't have much time to spend at the hotel.

I wore it all the time! They gave it to me at Check In @ the hotel because the reservation said I was there for my birthday. Since the whole trip was the celebration of it, i decided to wear it all the time.

August 27th, 2009

Today was the official Birthday day! I woke up and remember....WE ARE AT DISNEY. I woke up my DH, took a shower, put on my 30th Birthday beads and my pins (spanish and english versions) and headed to Artist's Palette for breakfast.

At Artist's Palette, we shared a platter(sorry, no photos). It was good, and plenty for both of us. The buses at Congress Park didn't take long and after us just did another stop at Springs before leaving. The plan for today was to ride RnR, ToT and the New Toy Story attraction. But in general we wanted to have a relax fun day, letting in flow.

Since it was Thursday, I thought it wouldn't be too crowded at HS.....

The park was CRAZY. "Hey, people, aren't you supposed to be at school already?"...HEHEHE. We arrived near 9:30am. I walked to Will Call with my Birthday Certificate to redeem my birthday present. Since I already have a park ticket, they let me chose between:
1) 6 Fast Passes (Toy Story not included)
2) A gift card ($79 - approx the value of 1day 1park admission)
3) An extra ticket to use any other day within a year

We decided for the Gift Card, since I wanted to buy some birthday presents! The extra ticket was tempting but my DH reminded me that our cousins work at Disney and they already told us that we can go with them anytime we want. The Card can be use in any WDW owned stores, including PhotoPass (in the park) but exclude all food and drinks. So, pretty good deal if you are planning on buying souvenirs! And makes a cool keepsake!

We entered and snapped some photos!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

We headed to RnR for FastPasses, since ToT line was shorter...

In the line, I tried to capture the creepy factor of the ToT...hehe

We got a little hungry in the line and remembered that we brought 2 guavas from home. We grew up in Puerto Rico, where guavas grow wild and if you want one just grab it, wash it and eat it. The family behind us, was curious about what we were eating, when we explained they were surprised. They never had have the guava like that before, which surprised us too, because we are so used to it. So a little "cultural" exchange happened! I love that!

After ToT (twice!) we headed with our FP to RnR. Always a favorite!! Having your favorite band music playing while riding a cool roller coaster: PRICELESS!

Walking down the street, we found this guy:

He was hilarious and the volunteer played the part pretty well! Now, to Pixar Studios!

When we got to Toy Story, it was almost 11am...and the Fast Passes were for 8:35pm!

We grabbed them before the started to change and kept walking in a zombie-WTH-slow movements...8:35pm???? Really???

We decided to do the Backlot tour. When we were approaching the line, a CM asked us if we wanted to be volunteers. My Surprised DH followed me when I said yes! I was the captain and DH was the one that has to clean the boat. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!! After that, the tour...

Of course, we couldn't miss the opportunity to see once more, Light, Motors, Action!!!!

As we passed through the Great Movie Ride, we decided to kill some time by going in. It is really a good one, never gets old to me.

Just after we got out, the parade was starting. At first I thought, "Oh I got the wrong spot". but then We found out that they do the "show" twice, in different spots so everybody can enjoy it. The new spin off the the parade is great. Very happy and suited for the celebration theme going on throughout the parks!

This is the update for today!!! Hope you are really enjoying it!

You'll see all the wonders it got us!!! No, I'm not DVC! I got SSR because of the free upgrades! We were one of the lucky ones. I still don't understand the DVC points quite well. Maybe in the future!

I remember wearing mine and I was treated like a princes the entire time although my DFi helped with that a lot as well as the cast member

Hey, we were at DHS the same day!!!! I've been looking in your pictures for me - I was wearing a blue "Disney" shirt and a grey skirt, and Lou was wearing a matching white one (a shirt that is, not a skirt).

What Lights, Motors, Action show did you see? It looks like you sat pretty near us! When I get there in my TR, you can look for yourself!
