My sister is giving me agita!

Hi All!!
We are staying at the Pop for a week in November. I have 3 children, 2, 4, and 8. My sister is now thinking of coming with us. She has 3 kids as well. An 8 year old, and twin 4 year olds. The 4 year old twins are small. I told her only 4 in a room (explained how my 2 yo is allowed in a pack-n-play). So now, she wants us to get 3 rooms (we split the third room). I say no - this is my last year to get away with only one room or a suite. She now just wants to get one room for her family. I told her I am not checking in near her, and that she is going to have a problem. Can someone offer any insight on this?

Are you from Philly? Because that's the only place where I've heard the term "agita" used on a regular basis!

Look, your DSis is a big girl and capable of deciding whether bending the rules is something she's willing to do. She might get caught and be asked to move to a resort that can accommodate them. Or she might get away with it. But that's a risk that she's got to weigh for herself.

Moral judgments aside, she will need to know that if she goes thru with this and plans to use DME, not everyone will be able to get on the bus. Only registered guests can ride it. And since one of this kids would not have a KTTW, they would not be able to take advantage of any EMHs. If she is booking a package under the free dining promotion, she would only have credits for 4 people.

But I'd let it drop at this point. She's aware of the room occupancy limits. The ball's in her court, not yours.

ETA: agita is heartburn which is presumably brought on by aggrevating circumstances

Thanks so much! Yes, it is her business. I am from Northern NJ, and my parents are from Italy, so we speak Italian. "Agita" means heartburn (in the italian language is really means shake- or agitate, but the actual term has been Italian-Americanized). Her plan was to reserve the ME for all (stating her twins were 2). Whatever she wants to do...... I am the type that gets nervous and upset. If she comes, hopefully, she will get a different flight, and check in without me ...... LOL!!

Thanks all.

She'll still need to have the twins on the room reservation in order to get them on DME. Will she be lying to Disney about their ages? Does this include at the gate and therefore she won't even be buying them tickets? Boy, this gets better and better.

As much as I'm sure you want your room to be besider hers, I'd be hesitant to put any kind of link in your reservations. She may have a whole bunch of headaches during her trip and you don't want to be tied to her if this happens (I honestly don't know if it would cause problems for you or not, but I'm also one that gets nervous and upset about rule violations and I wouldn't want to take chances of any of their mess trickling over to me).

Are you going during free dining? If you are and you want the regular DDP then it might be cheaper for both parties to upgrade to POR and she can request a room with a trundle where the occupancy is 5. This will get you both the upgrade to the regular DDP rather than the QSDP that comes with the values and you don't have to worry about any kind of rule violations. Many people have found that during free dining, if you want the regular DDP rather than QSDP then upgrading to a moderate costs the same as staying at a value and paying the upgrade cost. I think that something like this might be a win-win for everybody in your group.

Aside from agreeing with what everyone else said, I just wanted to say - you can take some Brioschi for that agita!

My DH is also Italian, I guess that's why I'm familiar with the term! Lots of agita in his family!

Let your DSis know that 2yo's don't get tickets when they're booked in a package. And they don't get dining credits in the dining plan (free dining or otherwise). CMs will ask for the kids' ages at the park gates if they appear to be 3 years of age or older.

The POR option might be a good idea for everyone.

Thanks, POR is an option, but my kids want to stay at the POP, and we should not have to pay more to accommodate them. I guess they have it all planned out, because they are buying the park tickets here at the Disney store. I guess I have to just shut up. This is starting tension between her and I. She says all her friends do it (I guess that makes it right). I guess I am annoyed because her husband is such a scammer, and they will probably get away with it. Whatever..... thanks all!!!

Thanks for the advise. Fortunately, she is buying them tickets to get into the park, so that won't be an issue.

Nope, I worked in Boston and the Italians I worked for were always saying this. We worked in a tremendously stressful daily newspaper environment so every day the deadline was giving someone "agita!" (Also, they ate "gravy" on their spaghetti instead of sauce like the rest of us.)

But I digress.

I would simply remove myself from anything your sister is doing and tell her that she's on her own. I can't see how she's going to get away with saying two four-year-olds are only two years old, and if she's trying to circumvent the fire code, then it gets even more serious. Fraud is fraud and safety is safety. If she pushes it, you can just say you are not comfortable with what she plans to do and you don't want to get involved in any way.

As far as your sis I'm a nervous nelly also and I wouldn not link the reservations together at all but let her deal with her own stuff.

I to have some family that is arriving a couple of days after we arrive. They to booked the pop century as we did. They have on the ressie 3 adults 1 child and 1 infant, but they are also gonna have 1 more adult in the room to. I have told them over and over that if they get caught they are probably not gonna have a room anymore, and be asked to leave disney alltogether, but they don't seem to think they will get caught. But all it takes is one person to notice. They are driving down as well so they won't be using ME.

What deal are they getting that would be better then free dining at a value? Unless they are going during a blackout. How cheap do they expect to eat?
