Anyone almost done shopping for Christmas?

I know you must think I am CRAZY for posting this thread BUT I had to see if anyone else is as crazy as me!

I'm finished with my boys for Christmas and their b-days(both Dec). I hit the jackpot at target(75% off toy clearence) a few weeks back I think I spent just a little over a hundred total! Actually I do have one more item I need to get them because it is our tradition - a new pair of Christmas pjs, but that will be it!

I always shop the after Christmas sales so I scored big time in Jan. I got digital picture orgnaments for my relatives for 7.49 each!!! Stocking stuffers for my kids and gifts for some of the kids at church.

I pretty much got the kids in my family done for maybe $50 when I did the target shopping spree a few weeks ago.

Now I did say ALMOST done, I do still have hubby, our parents a few church members.

So how about you all - are you almost done or am I just CRAZY!

No you are not crazy. I myself have started to collect Christmas presents for a few family members. I do however plan to the bulk shopping in Disney when I am there in less than two weeks.

No, but perhaps I'm just a procrastinator. Depends on how you look at your glass, I guess. Congrats though

I have barely even started

I find if I shop too early, I change my mind and end up buying something else and spending more.

I do have a few little things, a few stocking stuffers and an ornament for my sister. I also have some ideas for others.

I want to mostly get everyone practical gifts I know will get used.

I am almost completely done. Both of my kids big items are bought. An Xbox 360 for him and the Kaya doll from American Girl for her. Btw, I went into the store where I purchased the 360 and it was marked down $50 less, I went to customer service and I got $50 back!

I know exactly what my kids are getting and have about $250 more left to buy. I've been shopping at the end of the month with whatever left over money we have left. My parents visited for 6 weeks over the summer and wouldn't let us buy groceries once. I decided to use all the extra food money and start Christmas shopping. I normally start very early though.

We live in europe right now and will be moving back to the states in Feb. we have a ton of trips still planned to take, so I needed to have Christmas paid for.

I'm using my points from my cash rewards (from my bank) to buy gift certificates for my family). Dh and I are not buying for each other, we are going to Spain in January as our present.

We are also taking a cruise to Greece with the kids, and that is our present to them.

I'm thankful to almost be done. My goal is to not need any money from our November or December paychecks to go towards Christmas, if that's the case we can travel a little bit more.

I haven't started yet.

I'm not sure what my daughter wants this year. She's at an in-between age (will be 11) and has plenty of clothes and isn't into toys anymore. One thing she wants is that Hannah Montana Limited Edition PSP Bundle. It costs $199 (even on Amazon) and I think that's a bit ridiculous. (do things like this EVER go on sale???)

nope not even close..

Im not buying much this year as Im scaling back. I find that when I shop year round and find those have to have bargains- I buy too much.. Mine are getting the Wii Fit & Lego Rockband as their combined gifts and really those do not go on sale. dd will most likely get the new nintindo as her gift from santa and ds a lego set.

You are crazy!!! No..you are not. I am just jealous!

We are not doing much for Christmas this year. I only have three kids to buy for, they are 23, 15 and 12. We are getting our DD a Kindle, she is an English major at Ohio State, our boys, we are thinking of an XBox. Not sure on that one yet, though. I told them they have to clear out some of the other junk they have before we do that.
DH and I are ripping out our carpet and putting in laminate flooring....Merry Christmas to us...we really need to do this.

So, the only ones we really have to worry about are DH's parents. We will proabably give them money, that is the only thing they need.

Lisa

I haven't started either, although I do have my christmas trees all planned out, and I've bought wrapping paper, just no presents to wrap. But normally by now I have my lists made out and have at least started with stocking stuffers. i just don't know what to get anymore. I was thinking about giftcards or just buy those baskets from Peterbrooke that have the chocolate covered popcorn and stuff in it. That's kinda Christmas-y right? and I know it will most likely be used. But I better shake a leg here soon. Christmas really isn't that far away! 4 months!

I haven't even started yet. With my extended family we draw names now so it will be easy.

I've got to talk to DH about what he expects us to do for his extended family. Dad and Stepmom, Brother and family, sister and family and great Aunt. He always wants to go nuts on gifts so I'm the voice of reason. We only see his Dad and StepMom every year. The rest of them don't even bother to show up or even make an effort to squeeze out a time when we can see them when we go to MN to see family.

I've got 3 birthdays coming up that I need to get gifts for so I thought I'd look around for Christmas ideas at the same time.
