Halloween Party: Best spot to watch parade?

Those who have gone to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, what would you recommend as a good spot to watch the parade? Thank you!

Frontierland or near Liberty Square. Nowhere near as crowded as Main Street, and darker

Just wondering. Haven't been to Disney World in about 10 years. At the parades how does the music work. Is it only played at certain locations of the parade? And it is sync to the parade in any way so that it is better to view the parade a certain location to be sync with the soundtrack?

thanks,

The sound system is part of the parade itself.

The audio tracks are playing from sound systems aboard the floats...
AND heard coming from speakers along the route.

The tracks are all synchronized and the sound varies from "very good" to "excellent" depending on exactly where you are standing.

A look at the Parade Route.

I go to MNSSHP every year, and my preference is to watch the 2nd parade at the front of Main Street. I've usually had no problems watching the parade with a great view. The park clears a lot after the first parade, and often the front of Main Street isn't crowded at all like it usually is for Spectro.

If it is "darker" in Frontierland and Liberty Square, is there a "brighter" spot to watch the parade. We found that when we video tape in Frontierland, our video tape of the parade is hard to see.

Thanks! What time are the two parades? Are the fireworks before or after the second parade?

Wow - great post. In which land does the parade begin?

Parade starts by Frontierland. That's where we watched last year and will likely do the same this year. That way you're the first ones to see the end, and from there you can run over to Splash Mountain, BTMR, or POTC while everyone else is watching the parade. Lines aren't bad even when the parade isn't going on, but it was extra nice when DH and I had our POTC boat entirely to ourselves.

But be warned: everyone is right, it's pretty dark over there. Which means little kids are extra likely to get clotheslined by the parade barriers (yes, we saw this happen to a little princess.. whoops!).

Wow, this was very thoughtful of you, thanks! It is a great spot.

We won't be filming and so may opt for darker spots . . . but also having a place to sit is nice -- still debating here. Can you sit on the curb?

PS: I had admired these videos on YouTube earlier -- it was fun to discover that you're the person who filmed them! These videos helped me decide to book the party. MANY THANKS.
