Wink Wendy Darling costume

I am just learning how to sew and am looking for a Wendy Darling (from Peter Pan) costume pattern size 4t. Has anyone out there ever made one? Thanks!

I just bought one from someone on Etsy. i can sew, but machine has been broken. It actually wasn't a costume, but rather a dress that she makes in other fabrics, which she designed after being inspired by an old nightgown of her grandmother's. I had her make it custom for no additional charge in light blue fabric with a slightly darker light blue ribbon.

Getting ready to use the costume in just a few days. We are going to the MNSSHP on September 4. My 12 year old is going as Wendy, and my 4 year old is going as Tinkerbell.

Try looking at the pattern books outside of the costume section. You're really just looking for a basic, puffy sleeved dress or nightgown. Best of luck!

I made dd's Wendy costume for our trip last year. I used a nightgown pattern and added the sash to it. I just looked for a simple nightgown with puffed sleeves and a gathered skirt at the bodice. If I can find the pattern, I'll let you know which one I used. I may not get to that this morning though

Butterick 6659 is the pattern I used and her hair is a pony fall from Ebay. Wendy was a great costume at MNSSHP, nice and cool and comfy for her and there were a million Cindys there but not many Wendys so she got lots of attention. You can see three Cindys in the pic of her dancing with Chip in the background

Thank you so much Laurap22! I am looking at your pictures with my 4 year old as she jumps up and down! She can't wait for Halloween-she keeps asking if it is tomorrow? We went to MNSSHP last year and am a bit sad that we aren't going again this year. Oh well we'll just have to plan on next year! Thanks again-you are awesome!

I have seen people make a Wendy costume with CarlaC's Portrait Peasant top. You can find her patterns at http://www.youcanmakethis.com/info/f...nd-Dresses.htm

You download the pattern and then print it out on your computer. You get a bunch of different sizes and can print them out as many times as you want. Plus, Carla's directions are wonderul and full of pictures!

You could also use her Precious Dress, pattern:

http://www.youcanmakethis.com/info/f...ears-apron.htm

A little more complicated but still wonderfully easy and versatile!

Or cut it off. Wait, which did you do?? Thanks again!!

Believe it or not, I bought that hat. It was listed as like an "elf" hat or something online at costume stores. I kept trying to make one and couldn't get the right shape either. It looks like you could make one by poking the point into the hat though. Wish I thought of that last year

Just have to add another vote of confidence for Carla's awesome patterns and YCMT's awesome site I think her "precious dress" would be perfect for this, it wasn't out last year when I was looking for a pattern
