Surprise Trip Yeah!!! - The DIS Discussion Forums

I am so excited. My aunt just told me that they want to take my family to Dis for Disneyland for labor day. Yeah! I just opened a law office and she is giving me this as my gift. I have decided not to tell my kids (ages 6 and 3) until we leave next Friday. I have never surprised my children and think it will be great on Friday morning.

Yay for suprise trips!!!

We're doing a suprise trip in Oct for my son, who will be 6. Now that he's in school I think I can finally pull of secretly packing the suitcases and such. I can't wait to see his face and I'm sure you're equally excited to see the suprise on your childrens face. Have a wonderful trip!

We surprised our kids for 2 of our last 3 trips and it was soooo fun. I would recommend doing it at least once in their life.

A surprise like that goes into the happy memory bank and they pull it out a lot to talk about and reminisce. It is fun to talk about the time we went to DLR and we woke them up to go to the airport. My DS13 was sort of worried that we might have forgotten important stuff - so he had to grill us about what we had in his suitcase.

We will be there over Labor Day too! I will be wearing my DIS Unplugged Lanyard and pin. If you happen to notice the lanyard with the thousands of people who will be there, stop me and say Hi!

I think it will be a surprise even to how crowded it will be. I have been there over Labor day and it was packed and one other time it was dead. I hope for the latter. I'll keep an eye out. I will be the mom frantically trying to keep tabs on my crew. I'm sure know one else will look like that.

In all seriousness, it is really awesome that you have the opportunity to do this for them and your children will hopefully cherish those memories forever. I hope you and your family have a great time.

Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Suisun City CA Posts: 11,104	Surprise trips are the BEST!!! have fun! __________________ Kerri DBF DD13 DD9 APs expired 1-3-2010, the girls are still good until 2-6-2010 but we have no plans for a visit before they expire. No plans for our next visit, it will be 2011 or 2012 before we head back. We've had fun DLR/DCA, we will miss you while we are gone. We took 14 trips from July 07-July 08 and around 16 from Jan 09-Jan 10.
