Checking Bags After Checking In Online

I have a question. I always checked in at the airport before flying Southwest, and never checked bags since I started flying Southwest, so this has never been an issue before.

If I check-in online, and get my boarding pass, where do I go to check my bags, since at the airport I always do while checking in for my flight? Can I just go up to the check-in terminal for bags only if I already have my boarding pass?

TIA.

You can use curbside checkin or there is usually a separate line for baggage checking only. Depends on the airport, but usually these are options.

Skycap, kiosk that's configured to handle passengers checking bags or a counter agent.

You'll have an opportunity to ask them to reprint your BP.

All of us do this. Checking in 24 hours in advance with SWA just gives you your boarding order. When you get to the airport, go to the SWA curb check or counter check. If you go inside, when you get to the front there will be a computer screen where you will input your confirmation number. It will ask how many bags you have and if you want to reprint your boarding pass. The clerk will weigh your bags and put the tags on before sending them back to be loaded on the plane. If you don't already have your boarding pass printed, you can print them at the kiosk as well. It is easy peasy!!

Don't let the lines scare you, SWA moves them pretty quickly!

I don't care about the lines, I'm always so anxious to leave I always have plenty of time to kill at the airport.

But thank you, this is exactly what I needed to know.
