Thank you everyone. I am a big Outlook fan so I will make do with Mail until it becomes available for the MAC. I don't like online email accounts either. I have gmail but hardly ever use it.

If you're looking for a more powerful mail program for the mac, check out Postbox.

If you are a big outlook fan you could run it with Parallels or VMfusion under a windows OS. I also thing that Snow Leopard professional edition will support Microsoft Exchange.

I use MS Entourage at work - I always thought of it as just the Mac version of MS Outlook. I also have Outlook on my Windows machine at work and strongly prefer Entourage.

At home we use Mozilla Thunderbird, which is a descendant of the Netscape email module, which is "where we're coming from".

Also use Mac Mail for my mac.com email - not truly used to it yet.

I use Thunderbird as well. I like the address book better on it that on Mac Mail

Thanks.
No... Its a terrible quasi version of Outlook. Don't waste the money.

If you are using Exchange, Upgrade to 10.6 and use Mac Mail. Works GREAT. If just regular pop or imap, use Mac Mail or wait until the New office comes out and upgrade, which will give you Outlook. I'd save the money though and just use Mac Mail... intergrates well with Google and Exchange

You are one of the Few... Entourage is routinely lambasted all over the web and mac forums. It is going away with the next Mac Office version and being replaced by Outlook... but they are two similar but different programs.

DOES support Exchange... It came out Friday. It works very well and very simple to set up. You don't even need your settings, just type in email, username and password.

I'm not 100% sure but I heard it only works with Exchange 2007 but I may be wrong.

I have two Macs and an iPhone and LOVE how Mail syncs them seamlessly!
