Getting Ready to Trip Report... Questions
Okay, so 23 days... make that 22 days (now 12:00am!!!) until I am in the world with my wife for a two week stay at SSR.
I have been planning on doing a daily TR and wanted to ask some questions. How do I add photos? How do I quote people? I am sure there is a thread with this advice so if anyone has any tips or can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. |

Adding photos to your thread/post
Here's a link to the FAQ on the DISboards that explains posting to a thread, photos and links.
http://www.disboards.com/faq.php?faq...aq_vb3_posting To post a photo you need to use another internet site that allows you to upload your photos, a website similar to http://photobucket.com. After uploading the photos to Photobucket you can then copy the Image code and then insert to your post. Like this: ![]() Some websites will require that you use the yellow Icon on the Reply to Thread post. This icon will insert the two [IMG] items around your web address for your photos, but Photobucket furnishes it for you. However, the Yellow Icon does show the file size limits and types of files you can add to a post. Hopes this helps, I'll do a separate posting regarding "Quotes".

Using Quotes in a Thread/Post
If you wish to reply to only one post, you clink the blue Quote button. Then a Reply to Thread pops up and you can then just type your reply below the quoted message. If you want you can edit the quoted message and delete the part you are not responding to. Then type below the word [quote] at the end.
If you want to respond to multiple posts in one post of your own, use the Blue button the has a piece of paper with black " on it. Do this repeatedly on as many posts as you wish to reply to. Then when you are ready to post your replies, click the blue Post to Reply button at the top or bottom of the thread page. You then can reply to each post as stated above. However, there is one addition, to make sense of the replies, you can type your reply directly after each [quote] at the end of each post. On the last [quote] you need to reply outside the blue box or least add some words there as the system won't recognize that you have added anything when it's all in the blue box. This quote business is difficult to explain. It will make more sense when you do it. Maybe if you see a thread that you are interested and you wish to reply to more than one post you can try it out before your Trip Report. Here's an example: Quote:
And after the last quote I usually reply after the last quote (on a new line) so the system will know I posted something of my own. Hope this post makes sense. Good Luck! Looking forward to your Trip Review.
