The Ouija Board.

I don't remember, or am not sure if there was another thread like this one already out there. But I thought i'd start a new one because people's opinions change.

To start things off, how about the question of, Do you believe in ghosts?

Now i've always basically believed in ghosts and spirits. I just never have seen or encountered one.

So today of all days, I went over to my friends house and brought my ouija board. I have messed around with it a few times before, trying to contact "the dead", but always to have no luck.

First, we decided we would try in her basement, as she told me that she always felt somebody watching her while she was down there. We tried, and with the same conclusion as the other times, failed.

We then moved upstairs into her old guestroom, which served as a storage room filled with junk. There was already an old wooden table, along with a candle on top. We thought it would be a great idea to set the mood, by lighting the candle, along with being in the dark.

We tried, and yet again, failed! We were being serious, and quiet. We waited the "5" minutes for an answer, or for something to move. We held our finger(s) on the palette just ever so slightly. We followed all the directions.

Then, something strange happened. Instead of the palette moving as we asked a question, the candle began to flicker. We asked "it" a yes or no question, and the candle would flicker again. Assuming the flickering meant a yes, we kept asking questions. We asked who the old owner of the house was, along with their name, and it gave the right response.

We even said good-bye and blew the candle out, only to re-light it later and ask more questions. It still gave the right answers 98% of the time.

Now I know I may sound silly, but honestly, I was surprised. I'm not sure whether or not it was REAL, but it sure seemed like it.

So the question is, do you believe in ghosts or spirits? Have you ever contacted them?

And do you believe in the ouija boad?

Edit: And I forgot to add, that same day; We were baking brownies in her kitchen, and I walked by the refrigerator and a big plastic tub of batteries almost fell on me! This was right after we blew out the candle for the first time. We thought it was the "spirit" beckoning for us to come back and talk. And no, the tub was not on the very edge of the top of the refrigerator. It was definitely stable. Plus, we asked "Victor" where he was, to find he was behind me. Both my friends were dying from the heat, and I was sitting fine, not sweating at all. I don't think that was a coincidence.

I'm not really sure what I believe. I love to watch ghosthunters and all that though, so I'm leaning more towards yes. I haven't personally had an experience with a ghost or anything but I've seen a few shadows out of the corner of my eye.

I'm pretty sure my great grandma still hangs around our house. She used to live in this spot (different house). She had a rosebush outside and we've cut it down but it keeps coming back. I seriously think she or someone is in my room because my tv will be on and my remote in my hand and I'll fall asleep. I'll wake up and my remote is on my bedside table (I never put it there, it always goes above my head) and my tv is turned off. Everybody says they never come and turn them off but either I do it subconciously or someone else does.

My brother said he saw my great grandpa sitting at our computer in the middle of the night. He spun around in the chair and smiled at my brother and then dissapeared. He'd passed away about a year earlier.

I don't do ouija boards or try to make contact with them or anything. But I guess I do sort of believe in ghosts/spirits.

Wow! The rosebush thing sounds really cool, but what your brother said about your grandpa sounds kind of freaky.

I'd be so afraid to live in a house with "other" people!

i 100% believe in ghosts. but i think ouija boards are a load of crap.

my grandmother used to work at a restaurant, and the owner and his wife would play this certain radio station and ballroom dance around the dining room, after closing.

after both of them died, chairs would fall over in the dining room and there would be weird random noises. my grandmother would turn on that radio station, and everything would stop, and you could see the table cloths swaying as someone moved between them, like two people were dancing.

Wow! That sounds so cool. There really is NO other explanation for that sort of thing!

Sometimes I wish I could see more of these things happening..

I completely believe in ghosts, although I've (thankfully) never had an experience in ghosts.

I wouldn't touch a Ouija board with a ten foot pole.

Those things just invite the inhuman, and I'm not messing with them.

Yeah, even my family thinks our grandma hangs around but they always talk about how great and nice she was.

I think it would be cool to be able to go and try to interact one, since everytime I watch tv shows they seem to be stuck somewhere or need help with something. It'd be neat to try and help a ghost out, but I'm not sure if I'd want to mess around with it or maybe get hurt since I've seen some dangerous stuff on scariest places on earth.

I'm just afraid that if I do something wrong or upset "it" it'll come back to haunt me or follow me around or something. lol

I deffinatly believe in ghosts and such.
When I grow up, I actully want to be a paranormal investigator.
I've only had one actual experience.
me and my cousin were in my grandfathers basement. we kept feeling unexplanible swishes of cold air followed by a weird noise. then a few moments later we heard noises that sounded like whispering from the backroom. my cousin was getting freaked out so he told me to go check the room. when i turned on the light this thing that held wine glasses started shaking and i felt the swish again. i told my cousin to come back in and jokingly trying to scare him i said out loud that if something was here to show a sign. sure enough about 2 seconds later one of the wine glasses smashed to the ground. its not like the glass just fell... it came out of the holder and smashed to the ground RIGHT when i said that. coincedence? i think not.
i want more experiences like that to happen to me. i dont get afraid, i find it so amusing and interesting.

I'd be scared at the same time though.

My friend told me an experience like that where she has a ghost in her house, and her younger sister was taunting it, saying it didn't exist. The younger sister opened up her closet and a tin case of the game, "apples to apples" fell out from the top shelf and hit her in the head.. I don't think that's just a coincidence either.

haha!

I'm like 50/50 on Ouija boards. I did it one time at a friend's house that supposedly is haunted and it "worked." We did it in a bathroom, with candles lit, and talked to some lady named Martha or something like that. The friend who lives at the house had a great grandma named Martha that was at the house a week before she passed away. So that was a little creepy.

Then again, I've done it a couple other times and it was obviously not working. I do believe in ghost, though. I've talked to too many people that have no reason to lie that have encountered them so I'm convinced.

I believe in ghosts, but I think Ouija Boards (for the most part, anyway) are a load of crap. I won't ever go near one.

I absolutely believe in ghosts.

I would NOT touch a Ouija Board with a 154564534864 ft pole. I am not conjuring up any thing.
