Le Cellier DDP

I am going in 2 weeks and we are on the FREE DDP and have a dinner reservation for Le Cellier for the first time. My question to you- under the list of entrees on an online menu I found from wdwinfo.com, an entree is listed as the 'Le Cellier Experience'- which includes an appetizer, entree & desert and lists at $36.99. Can anyone tell me if this is included in the FREE DDP? Thanks in advance! I'm sooo looking forward to this!

From what I have read here on the DIS that LeCellier has no restrictions on what you can order from the menu BUT on this particular choice there is no substitutions…

From what I have read on the boards, yes it is on DDP - thoughts are that by adding an appetizer they are steering people away from the expensive, and popular, mushroom filet. Chefs de France is another restaurant with a three course menu you can choose.

We ate at Le Cellier last week with free Dining also. My son ordered from the Chef's Favorite menu(includes choice of one appetizer, entree, and dessert)
He had the soup, Prime Rib, and Chocolate Moose. His "Rib" was very good(I stole a bit from his plate) BTW, they gave you a big bowl of the "Cheese Soup" It will be great for sharing

I don't know, the mushroom filet also stands out to me... Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but appetizers are no longer included in the DDP, right? What about deserts? Thanks!

Correct - appetizers are not longer a part of the DDP.

Captain's Grille also has a 3 course menu selection. I've been told that it a menu item that you can order as part of the DDP. I would think the Le Cellier menu item is included as well.

Desserts are included on the DDP.

I myself would not give up the mushroom filet to get the app. you do get some really good bread sticks (especially the pretzel breadsticks) for free so that is like an app. And yes the desert is included. We will be there again this Oct. 25 so bring on the filet.

We dined on the free regular dining plan at LeCellier this past Sunday for the first time and my daughter ordered the three course meal.

Appetizer- a bowl (not cup!) of the cheddar soup. This was a gererous portion and afforded us all a tasting.

Entree- salmon 2 ways

Dessert-chocolate mousse.

The rest of us couldn't be swayed by the added appetizer and we all ordered the filet. I subbed the risotto for the mashed potatoes, though. All was very, very good and lived up to the hype in my opinion. We three ordered our filets all differently: medium rare, medium, and well done, and they all were served fitting the respective order. I really liked the chocolate raspberry shake, too.

Question Veal T-bone

The fillet and salmon both look good! Can't wait for our Oct trip. Has anyone had the Veal t-bone at LeCellier ? All I have had is the fillet when it came with the maple bbq sauce which is not on the menu online. Last visit was 2007 to LeCellier.

Wait, I can get a milk shake as my beverage there? Included in DDP? Or was that your 'desert'? PLEASE fill me in on this one! 6-1/2 months pregnant- I'm all about a milkshake! Thanks!!

Mike shakes are included but you only get one, not like a soda or ice tea where they just keep bring them.
My question is the mushroom filet for lunch the same size as the diner filet? We will be there for lunch on Oct. 26 and just happy to have been able to book anything at Le Cellieer especially since we were at 72 days when booking.

The Veal was excellent. It will be cooked "medium" but the meat was still tender. It was a bit too well seasoned for me. On the other hand, my friend ordered the Veal too and found it just right.

We were there on Saturday and were also offered the 3 course meal, but stuck with the filet. We did get the shakes, but as dessert since nothing else really jumped out at us and we were a bit over-desserted out by that time of the week. Just seemed a bit lighter and since it was hot we wanted the beverages as well.
