Can I get gingerale or Shirley Temples in the dining room at dinner?

We have only cruised Princess before (where you have to buy a soda card and get all of your soda at the bar) and my favorite things to get were always shirley temples or ginger ales. I know I can't get these at the soda station on Deck 9 but I was wondering if they were available at the sit down restaurants for no charge?

Shirley is in the House!

You most certainly can get Shirley Temples at dinner. Two girls at our table enjoyed them every evening. It became a contest to see who had the most cherries in their drink!

Yep, my 3 DDs got Shirley temples every night on our last cruise at the beginning of August. My girls became obssessed with the number of cherries in their drinks and trying to tie knots in the stems with their tongues.

Coke and grenadine? MMMM interesting. I'm not much of a fan of alcohol so I LOVE Shirly Temples when I can get one. Ginger Ale has just become my family's favorite drink and awesome for settling a upset tummy. Glad we can get it.

You can also ask your server if he/she knows any special SODA/POP flavors -- my nephew got a new drink each night - fresh orange soda - all kinds of great things - and LOTS LOTS AND LOTS of shirley temples...

Where these different mixes or just regular soda flavors?

Okay two questions:

1) Would it be weird for an adult to order a Shirley Temple? I mean, I know it is a "kiddie cocktail," but considering my teatotaling ways, it might be right up my alley.

2) Do they make it with the traditional ginger ale, or is it made with the more contemporary Sprite/7 up? Or do they ask?

I had one every night last year AND it came with a bowl of cherries. They are made with Sprite - didn't even ask.

I order one every night..I don't do alcoholic beverages. My "kids", teens and twenties, also order them at dinner. No charge.

Yay! I cannot wait.

Also, from the photos I have seen, it did not look like there was a lot of grenadine in the drink. Do they use grenadine in their Shirley Temples or just the cherries?
