Can a child share on free dining?
We're going in two weeks on the free dining plan. I know you can't share at a buffet or a family style all you can eat. But, at a regular restaurant that you order off a menu, can my daughter share with me?
I want to stretch the child TS credits and she doesn't eat much. I don't either since I'm on Weight Watchers. Thanks! |

Now, I can understand this with QS meals, but not so much TS meals. If she doesnt get a meal when you all go for a TS meal, when do you expect her to get a meal? I cant see you going to a TS place and just getting her a meal. Now, if you were mistaken and meant QS, then sure, it shouldnt matter if you share a QS. We have done this before, sometimes for the 4 of us, if we arent real hungry we will just get 2 qs meals and split them and get the other 2 later in the day or whenever. Hope that helps.

The best answer from previous postings appears to be "no" at Beaches and Cream and "yes" anywhere else - assuming the other restaurants have not changed that policy, as it's up to each individual restaurant.

Thanks! I specifically was talking about California Grill. Since they take 2TS. I'm not even sure if we'll use DDP there or pay OOP. If we do use DDP I don't want to use 2TS for a child's meal when she could share with me.
Actually after looking at the menu we will probably just pay for that meal. I don't want to use 2TS each. We will order a custom cake for that meal to celebrate our anniversary so we won't order dessert. I will probably just do a salad and get her a kids' meal or we'll split a flatbread. My dh & sons will order what they want. That seems the better way to go. Thanks for helping me think it through. |

Also, at LeCellier, we have a late dinner at 8:20. My dd is use to eating late but we will have a snack in the late afternoon. Honestly, she would rather just have the cheese soup than a kids' meal. So, some of us can use a dining credit and we can just order soup for her, right? Can some people use dining credit and some pay OOP?
Sorry for so many questions. We usually don't do dining plan. |

disney is one of the few places where they don't have a shared plate charge ($5 in my neck of the woods @ upscale white tablecloth type places).
imo if they did institute it, it would clear up a lot of the amibiguity re sharing. ![]() my party of 3 (adults according to WDW ) often uses 2 TS credits for 2 of our meals, while i order order appetizer/soup or salad & usually wind up eating DSs dessert as he's a strict ice cream sort of dude which he picks up later via snack credit...i've never been questioned.naturally, @ a buffet, we all pay for our own meal via credit or OOP
