Time Line if wedding is @ 12.00

Hi everyone

We are planning on having the 12.00 time slot ( which I can confirm on Friday) as the 2.30 one we wanted is taken but I was wondering what the time schedule would be for 12.00. There is only 14 of us and don't know what to do with people after the ceremony.
I was thinking -

12.00 - 12.30 ceremony
13.00 - 14.00 grand floridian for cake cutting

18.00 - 21.00 narcossee's for dinner
21.00 - 22.00 grand 1 cruise

but what do we do between 14.00 - 18.00 ? as we don't really want to go back to our rooms as we want to spend the day with our families.

Any suggestions would be great

Thanks for asking this question as i would like to hear some suggestions.

Your time line is very similar to ours, providing of course we get 12pm which is our number once choice.
We are also going to Grand Flordian for lunch and possibly cake cutting, although i do need to look more into this as not sure if they charge a fee?

We will then be going to see Cirque du Soleil on the evening. Probably wouldn't have enough time to go into the parks though?

I'm curious as well. I just confirmed my date this morning (and am impatiently waiting for my LOA that was promised to be sent to my e-mail!) and the same thing happened to me! We wanted 2:30, but it was already taken so now I am on a waitlist because the people who booked that time did not go further in their planning. (Definitely not a DISer, less than 8 months before your WISHES wedding and you have yet to plan anything?!) I had to change to 12, which throws me off completely! I'm bummed because I only have my photographer for 4 hours, and want a dinner, so I can't have Misty take photos of the "reception." Do you have Disney photography or an outside photographer? If outside, and you have them for a long time, you could take lots of photos in the meantime. My dad practices photography as a hobby, so I think in our extra time I am going to have him take photos around extra places I wouldn't have normally gone to. Our original plan was to have a 2:30 ceremony, then from 3:30-6 take photos with Misty around the GF and then the Boardwalk, then eat at 6 in the St. James Room, and then at 8:30 have a DP at Epcot. Now our timeline will probably look something like this:

12-1 -> ceremony/cake
1 - 3:30 -> photos around GF (and perhaps Boardwalk)
3:30 - 5 -> pre-dinner drinks?
5-7 -> dinner @ St. James Room
7-8:30 -> have my dad take photos of us, it should be night time at this point so hopefully we can get some different shots
8:30 -> DP in Epcot

I'm thinking in the extra time, you can give your guests the option to go change, or freshen up. I think going to a hotel bar and getting cocktails isn't a bad idea, either. Maybe afternoon tea at the GF? Ask your planner for suggestions, when I get assigned mine I am going to ask. I can't see running all around WDW in my big, heavy wedding dress!

I actually had a conversation about this with my wedding planner today. To give you some background, we originally had the 2:30 time at SBP but we are now moving it up to the noon time slot.

So, our tentative timeline looks like this:

Noon-1: Ceremony and cake cutting
1-2 pictures/ time for people to get the attic.
2-4: Late Lunch/early dinner at the attic.
4-7:30 free time
8:00- meet for DP in Epcot and travel to UK Lochside.
8:30-9:30 DP

Some things to think about, from my wedding planner:
1)You have to build in travel time. Hence, the hour time slot for pictures and getting to the attic, and the extra time built in to get to epcot for the DP. Alot of the timing will depend on if we are walking places or using the disney charter bus etc.

2)the 4-7 free time is actually good, as it gives the guests a chance to relax, go the pool, go to a park, go shopping, get changed before the dessert party etc. As a bride who will have some older guests as well as a few younger ones, this is a perfect time for them to go take naps so no one will be grouchy or debbie downers at the DP.

3)Also, if you are planning on doing any of the in-park portrait sessions the day of your wedding, and therefore getting up before the sun, this time would be perfect for you and you DF to take a nap as well. Or just have some quiet time together to reflect on the ceremony, compare notes etc.

If you want to spend the extra time with your family, I'm sure your wedding planner will be able to come up with some ideas. If you're willing to change out of your wedding dress (since you can't go into the parks wearing it), there are plenty of things to do!
