10 day Med - May 2010 - Room 6606 Disney Wonder - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi

Booked our first Disney Cruise on Disney Magic. 10 day Med cruise and we have booked room 6606. Have read conflicting views on this room. 1 review said it was noisy because it was over the theatre. We thought it would be the opposite. Obviously, early evening when shows are taking place it will be noisy but from about 10.30pm we thought it would be quiet? 2 more reviews said it is a quiet room in a great location. We picked a room with a verandah.

Anyway, any views on room would be appreciated along with any other tips for our first disney cruise. We are from England.

6606 is over the movie theater, not the main performance theater. They show movies fairly late (plus a movie can last 1.5 - 2 hours). However, I have walked the hallway outside the theater and can rarely hear anything. Not sure what it would sound like on the floor above. Hopefully someone who has stayed near this room will respond. I would think it would be fine. Also note (according to a map of the ship deck plans from PassPorter) that there is some sort of service area behind the theater and your room will actually be over this area, not directly over the theater.

Oh - thanks for that. I think we might need to reconsider our cabin and upgrade to floor 7.

Changed our room - gone up to a category 5 on the 7th floor but it was worth the extra $260 to make sure we had a quiet room in the middle of the ship.

We are now in room 7074. Has great reviews so fingers crossed it should be ok.
