Giordano's Pizza Questions

Hello-

I have heard that there is a Giordano's Pizza location that delivers to the Disney resorts, is this true? Does anyone know where I might find a coupon?

Thanks for your help!

There is one in lake buena vista and one in kissimmee. The lake buena vista one is probably the closer one to on-property.

I have no idea if they deliver. You could call.
phone #(407) 239-8900 and they have a website. Just look for Giordanos.

The only coupon that I have seen is in all those coupon books that you find for orlando/kissimee at every restaurant and shop and fl welcome center off-property. I swear there is one in every general coupon book.
The coupon is usually for a free tomato basil bread appetizer. We have gotten it a few times and liked it better than the pizza. But we were at the restaurant in kissimmee.

(I like pizzaria uno better, it is in the crossroads plaza down the road past DTD off-property. You could easily take a cab from DTD. I think it is in the same general area as the Giordano in Lake buena vista).

Thank you for all the info and the heads up on Pizzeria Uno, maybe we should try that instead!

It's hard to find a decent pizza in this area. But I think the best is Flipper's. And they deliver. Don't know about coupons or discounts. But you could ask them.

They do deliver to the resort and do a great job at keeping the pizza hot! We ordered a small cheese pizza and garlic bread one evening. We could barely finish one slice each! We had enough for two dinners. It reheated well in the oven. Here is a picture of my plate. Doesn't look like I lot, but it is filling!

If you like lite amount of sauce then don't order the stuffed pizza from Giordannos. The pizza is good, but the stuffed pizzas (their signature or most famous) are just LOADED with sauce and my wife doesn't care for a ton of sauce. They have a thin version pizza as well

Ahh but Giordanos is straight from Chicago.

I have one three minutes from my house I've never ordered a pizza from Giordano's while at Disney because we have it here so I can't say if it's as good in FL as it is here in Chicago, but it's pretty darn good in Chicago

Oh, and in the battle of Giordanos vs. Unos, Giordanos will win every time. But neither are as good as Ginos (which isn't in FL...yet).

Coupons are easy to come by outside of WDW. They may be more difficult to find at on property resorts. If you can get to a DTD area hotel they probably have some of the local coupon books in their lobby. As a prior poster indicated it is usually a free tomato basil bread appetizer, which is good. Sometimes you may get lucky and find a $5 off coupon, but we haven't seen one of those in the books in Orlando for a couple of years.

You can't even compare Uno Chicago Grill/Pizzeria Uno (The almost national chain) to Uno or Giordano's in Chicago (the originals), or even to Giordano's in Orlando. They are not even close IMO. Gioridano's outside of Chicago is far more comparable to it's original than Uno Chicago Grill is to Uno in Chicago

A stuffed pizza doesn't have the sauce inside the crust or under the toppings like a traditional pizza. The sauce is spread over the top crust of the pizza. I find the amount of sauce to be perfect. I could see why it may be too much for some though. We have never had the Giordano's thin pizza, so I can't compare to that.

I agree. We have been to Giordano's in both Chicago and two locations in Orlando. Chicago wins ever time but Orlando comes close. Only the crust is slightly different. We have been told it has to do with the water they use when making it or the moisture level in the air when baking.

Here is a photo of the from the location on Rush in Chicago. Looks the same in Orlando, only the taste is a little different. We will be enjoying some of this in a couple of weeks when we go to Orlando.

We ordered Giordano's in June from the Lake Buena Vista location......deep dish. It is huge! DS was eating it for breakfast for 3 days
Very good. We plan on ordering from them again while at SSR next week.

I was also told Flippers was very good from someone who goes there all the time.

Oops...sorry on the link...didn't know I wasn't allowed to post links. Search for "money mailer coupons" or "Hot Coupons". That's where I found it. It was $2 off $10 purchase, $3 off $20 purch, $5 off $30 or more.

I've had Giordano's delivered to OKW, SSR & AKL before. I love their stuffed pizza and I'm normally a thin crust kinda gal. It is very filling so we usually order a medium have it that day and have left overs for during the week.

Can you PM me the link? We will be back in November and it could be useful if it shows back up again.
