I think that if you see some of the examples above you can see one of the techniques is getting really close to an object with a decent background to emphasize the foreground.
It seemed to me that the lens had more peripheral vision than my eyes do. It is pretty interesting. Plus, you can take some interesting photos by angling the shot instead of straight on. Basically you can screw with perspectives a lot. ![]() ![]()

Decided to try some UWA shots on POTC yesterday. Bumped up the ISO to 6400 so there is some noise but it definitely gives you a different perspective. ![]() ![]()
