Crystal Palace...lunch vs dinner

OK..so, we'll be there for My daughter's 7th birthday in Feb (I do so hope they continue the special birthday stuff - you can trade in the free day's admission if you already have multi day passes for a Special FP for each member of the party that gets you onto the fast pass line for 6 rides right away...but I digress)
I see that the menu for lunch at crystal palace is EXACTLY the same as dinner - but the price is significantly lower for lunch. Lunch is served till 2:45 and dinner starts at 3 pm. If I make my reservation for 2:45 and we are there until 3:30 - they charge me based on my ressie time...right? So..have a big breakfast, have lunch/dinner at 2:45 - and then a snack around dinner time?

That's what I do-get the last lunch seating and you get the dinner items for lunch price. They have a better carved meat, plus peel-and-eat shrimp at dinner, and I think different desserts, too.

one of those mouse emails said that Crystal Palace will be refurbed Jan/Feb 2010 - closed!!

but that Liberty Tree Tavern will become a character meal again - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner - with Minnie, Pluto,Goofy and Chip and Dale...

we're planning on a Jan trip! Trying to figure out what and where to go!
