Is this a sign of how crowded its going to be?
Trying to get my dad a room in CBR at the end of Sept and nearly everything but Deluxe is sold out. Is this a sign that its going to be really crowded? I hope not.....

There's a chance it will be crowded. You have the tail end of the first Free Dining (which I think ends 10/3), plus MNSSHP and the start of the F&W Festival.
Does it have to be that hotel? |

Usually during free dining, the restaurants and resorts can be crowded, but the parks are not bad. At least that's what I have read.

Basically you hit it right on the head, also Epcot on the weekends and during the evening will get kinda crowded. During the F&W, weekends are usually horrible and evenings are crowded because of the free concerts.

I also noticed most current deals are blacked out from 9-20 til 10-3 which makes me suspicious also. My trip dates are 9/23 til 9/28 so I fall right into this window. I don't remember them blacking out Sept dates on deals before.

We went at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct 2 years ago and it was packed. We tried to go to Epcot on a Saturday night - big mistake! World Showcase was literally wall to wall people - I have never seen it so crowded. Definitely avoid Epcot on the weekend evenings during F&W.

. I wouldn't change anything, you'll be fine. I have ADR's for Coral Reef on a Saturday night at 6pm. I plan to have dinner and then probably catch Illuminations that night since that Saturday is the day we're doing AK.

Actually, we're planning on getting to Epcot around 3ish and doing the WS first, so maybe it won't be sooo crowded during the afternoon. If it is...whatever...I'll be in WDW, I'm not gonna stress about crowds!

Yeah usually the mornings/afternoons aren't nearly as bad as evenings. Evenings are bad especially on weekends during F&W because a lot of locals go to the free concerts that are going on not to mention it's the weekend. I wouldn't stress either, definetly not worth it to ruin your vacation over.

I was just playing on Expedia a couple days ago and for our week Sept 26 - Oct 3 there was available rooms at:
Poly, BC, YC, BWI, BWV, OKW, SSR, POFQ, FW Cabins, and GF. Now it wasn't the cheapest room always but there rooms...lots.... so there may not be rooms in Disney's deal but there are rooms...the resort is not sold out.

Coronado Springs has a 1500 person convention onsite from 9/30 through 10/3 (at least they do according to the Orlando Sentinel). DO you think that is part of the reason for you not finding a room?

For my dates 9/23-28 I just checked and there's no value or mod availability at all. Lowest is FW cabin, then there's CR (strange!), BW, WL, AKL Sav View only (or suites), and OKW.
I'll bet there's a lot of AP holders taking advantage of the 40% off for the first weekend of F&W (like me!).

I'm at CSR Sept 26th-Oct 4th.![]() Oh, well at least all of the conventioneers will be in meetings all day and not on the buses or parks. We were at the Food & Wine Festival the same week two years ago and didn't notice Epcot being that crowded.

All the promos
I think that the Disney resorts are all booked due to all the great promos they are offering. A lot of people who normally would stay off property are now staying on site. Also people who would normally eat a quick service are now eating in the restaurants due to free dining.
This shouldnt effect the crowds. There will just be less people coming from off property sites.
