One way airfare Nov 29

I have been watching fares for the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I know it is a horrendous day to travel but my husband has to be back to work Monday morning. We got a great Southwest fare down but coming back is a different story. The best I am getting for an afternoon(we are returning from a cruise)flight is around 250. Should I just take it or hold out longer?

That is supposed to be the heaviest travel day of the year. I would take it. If it goes down, you can get a credit on file to use up to a year from the date you book the original reservation.

I would say that too; normally I had been going down Sunday myself.

When I went two years ago, the bus driver from ME had a bunch of interesting facts regarding the T-giving week. I didn't realize that 2/3 of the people actually check-out Saturday in lieu of Sunday. I am assuming it is so parents can acclimate their kids back to school by catching a day of rest. So I switched to Saturday; I booked my airfare out of BWI and got a non-stop flight for $102.00. The plane is almost full now so I am glad I booked it three months ago.

Our trip to WDW was supposed to start the Sunday after Thanksgiving to the next Saturday. When SWA flights came out, it was cheaper for us to fly the whole family down Saturday , , pay for an extra night at the hotel, and buy an extra day at WDW, then fly down Sunday. The price of a one way was ridiculous.

I have been looking for a flight too that day, and it is way to high. I considered renting a car home, but it is insane in price!

Sundays very seldom go on sale. I'm going to my brothers wedding in April in Vermont. My daughter's baby is due the day of my brother's wedding...so I want to come home the day after the wedding (Sunday)...man is it going to cost me big bucks to fly on Sunday. You can say she probably won't deliver on her due date...but chances are good she will...she did last time and she is sure of the "date".

I ended up booking a flight for Monday for 114 dollars(nonstop Airtran) for my daughter and myself. If my husband can get an extra day off I will book him on Mon too otherwise he will fly by himself on Sunday. We are saving 300 dollars minus 56 for one night at ASMu with just 2 of us flying on Monday and will save another 150 if my husband can take another vacay day. We are returning from a cruise on Sunday so I plan to drop our rental car off at the airport with my husband(if he is flyinf Sunday) and using DME to get to the resort.
