Simpsons returned - AKL resort pics - The DIS Discussion Forums

Not strictly a resort photo but the result of the portrait sitting photographer taking one of us as promised when we saw him at the pool.

They are posted all out of order, taken on different days, at different times of the day so there is no particular order to them, I hope I don't repeat them when posting the remainder of my trippie, I apologise in advance if I do!

This is the shower curtain.

The view from our room (had to include this didn't I)

I love the last few (not me on the bed!!!) they are early morning ones, my favourite time of day, had just nipped down to Mara for the first coffee of the day and had a wander around all alone apart from the flamingoes!

Your pictures are lovely - thanks for sharing them. I particularly like the one of you and your DH together and the one with the view from your window. Looks like AKL will be on our wish list to try sometime!

That first photo of you and DH is really lovely

We looked round a few of the resorts on our last trip (wishful thinking for when it's just me and DH

) and AK really did it for me along with Wilderness Lodge. The view from your room is wonderful.

Some excellent photos there. I Think it will be a while before we consider staying onsite - but looking at pics like these certainly makes me tempted.

I was really unsure about staying at AKV at Easter but it really is a beautiful resort as these photos show...

Oooo, a convert to on site! As for the socks, Ashley does the same thing, like father like son (he says its to stop blisters!), at least I don't do it (just had a thought, I did it one day after I got a blister from my watershoes) guilty as charged then!

Thankyou, you wouldn't think looking at that photo that we argue like mad and I could quite happily throttle him some days would you.

It is so nice just wandering around a resort snapping away, i like to enjoy peaceful moment of solitude as well

After first day of Crocs and blisters I wore trainer socks with them the rest of the holiday
