Adding a day after check in
We are considering extending our stay by one day. We will be staying in a 2 Bedroom at SSR. Assuming there are rooms available, do I contact the front desk to add on the day or Member Services. Also, is there a possibility that I will have to change rooms?
One other note.... We will be on the dining plan for the current reservation, if we add a day after check in, can we add a day to the dining plan? |

I'm not sure they can modify a reservation after the check-in date without requiring a check-out check-in. Yes, you can add the DDP, for the night, but it would be separate from your other DDP.
As far as moving, I'd let the front desk know your plans, and you will llikely be able to stay in the room, but it isn't guaranteed. It will depend upon how many 2 bedroom lock-offs check-ins they have for that day.

A few years back, I was stranded at BWV when a snow storm closed many of the New England area airports (life is tough, I know, lol).
Anyway, I was able to go to the front desk when the flights were cancelled, and they were very gracious in arranging to extend my stay the following day. They coordinated with MS and I obtained the BWV one bedroom (same room) for a member cash discount. They could not do it for the following night, however. We did go down to check out and check back in, and we were able to stay in the same room. The following day we had to schlep over to the Dolphin, and we were very lucky they could take us on such short notice, too.

We did this recently at SSR, just as CarolAnnC stated, the front desk can do this.
If for some reason you get a CM that says no, simply ask for the on duty manager, they can do it and be sure to ask about staying in the same room. You will as stated have to go to the front desk and check out and check in. |
