Our First DVC Stay

Hello,
We got BLT back in May and was only able to get into SSR with out first res for two studios for five days during the week of 8-11-09. We had requested be close together and in the Springs. We arrived around 11:00am. They had us in I believe Congress Park but the made the change. One room was ready and the other we had to wait.

Both rooms were clean and tidy and right across the street from the models. Close to the main pool which we liked. The issues with the buses was never a big problem coming or going from the parks (but I'm still glad we got BLT). The only time I felt we waited and took alot of time is when came back home from DTD at night. Much faster just to drive through the back entrance. I would recommend the Springs.

On our first day, we went to Guest relations (east side) in DTD to take care of few things. I have been to this one before and had some issues with them and again had issues with them. They are so quick to say no without trying to accomodate. I would avoid that spot and probably to go to the parks.

One thing I couldn't figure out, was every other day, they had the linen basket with towels and so forth outside our door. I thought they didn't do that. When I asked one maids she really didn't explain.

We had a good time!!!

Next month Vero

Sounds like a good first trip - we stayed in the Springs across from the models on our first trip as well.

As for the DTD guest relations people, I've heard similar stories - from what I've heard, MK is the best place for guest relations transactions. And I've had very good service there, so I only go there now for everything - upgrading tickets, AP vouchers, etc.
