La Nouba

We are booked for AKL for end of Oct with my parents. They are wanting to see La Nouba but I'm just not sure if my kids ( 10, 9, 6) will enjoy it. Anyone have experience in this? Also, are the seats you get with the cheaper tickets any good? I wouldn't want to be too far away to be able to see whats going on. Thanks in advance

The theater is so small, that any seat is a good seat.. TRULY!! There are so many things that happen in la nouba that ALL ages will be entertained!

It is a great show and I think your children would really enjoy it. It really is true there isn't a bad seat in the house.

Enjoy the show and have a great trip.

It's a purpose built theatre so no seat is a bad seat. I thought that when I bought the B catagory tickets there would be some limitation in the view but we were about half way up facing the front of the stage (which is a half circle into the audience) and there is so much going on stage all over that no matter where you look you have something enchanting to see.

The combination of costume, acrobatics, music and lighting can not fail to keep anyone of any age entertained! Usually when I go to see a show I see parents taking children to the toilet etc but not once did I see this during La Nuba.

It was so good I bought the DVD so I could see the stuff I missed - and it still makes my jaw drop.

Well worth it

Yes we saw it 2 weeks ago and it was amazing. Your kids will enjoy it. Believe it or not I would stay away from the lower seats, a lot happens up high so a little further back are great seats. Enjoy.....

I agree with everything people have said - it's a great show and the theater is small enough that everyone has a good view.

The only problem I had (and it wasn't really a problem) is that I decided to see the show, the day of. When I called, they said they only had them most expensive seats, yet when I got to the show there were plenty of seats in the less expensive categories. Not sure if calling far ahead would alleviate this or if it's last minute if you should go right to the box office. Either way - it's a teriffic show for all ages.

Absolutely go see it. I went with DD 9 last Dec. as I wasn't sure DS 6 could sit through it, so he and DH did something else. We are all going again in the fall and will ALL definitely go see it. It's fantastic. No doubt everyone will love it.

And I'm going to move this on over to the Theme Parks and Attractions board; you'll find a whole bunch of La Nouba fans over there.

We had category 3 seats and thought that they were perfect!

Everyone I know who's seen the show loved it!

Saw La Nouba for the first time last Thurs. Absolutely fantastic! Sat in section 104 row C. It was wonderful to see all of the performers up close esp. the bicyclists. Although, I agree with PPs that it's a small theater and all seats are good. For our next visit, I plan to get seats in the higher level.

We didn't bring the kids this time but will do so next time.

We saw La Nouba last year for my little girl's 7th birthday. She LOVED it..as did we. It's an amazing show and I believe your kids will really enjoy it.

Our seats were up close, 2nd row center. Our necks were a bit sore after the show since you have to look up so much. But, it was really great seeing all the characters facial expressions.

My kids were 10, 7 and 4. They all loved it! My 7 year old son was literally on his seat's edge the entire show.

My husband and I loved it. This Spring I'm planning to take my daughter and her boyfriend. DH and I had seats 12 and 13 in section 103 which were fantastic. I'm going to try to get
seats in that section again.
