Help me with some prices please :)

I'm trying to wrap my mind around spending money for our trip. Can anyone help me with some souvie prices?

Balloons, my DD is balloon crazy. I've seen mylars and clear balloons with color mickeys in the them. Anyone know the price?

Those light up twirler things that kids play with at night. How much are they? Are they pretty sturdy? DD is 2.5.

Small plush characters, but not beanies. I'm sure she'll want a couple of new friends.

Thanks!

The balloons are expensive - we never buy them, but did on our Christmas trip (a weak moment) - I think they were around $10 - it seems like one was even more than that, but I forget which type.

Light up type things usually run in the $5 range. Sturdy? Hmm. We had one of those spinny things and my son got it caught in my daughter's hair (he was about 4 and she was 2) - it got thrown away after that incident!

You might try just getting some glow necklaces from the dollar store before you leave and packing them in your suitcase. You can pull them out for the nighttime parades and things, and even share them with the kids around you. Very inexpensive and the kids love them. Light up necklaces at WDW are also around $10, at least the ones we bought there were (see - another weak moment).

Plush toys - I can't really remember - obviously they range in price depending on the size - average maybe $12. They also sell Webkins some places - I know they have them at AK, because my kids bought some with their money.

when we were there last December I think we paid $10 for the balloons, the smaller plush characters were around $15 as were the light up wands I think?? did not really pay attention to the wand price as it was late and raining.

I have no idea what things like that cost - but I would have a hard time denying your cute little munchkin. What a doll.

Thanks everyone! She never asks me to buy her anything in the stores, but I can see her going nuts over the balloons and the twirlers

Funny you mention Dollar Tree, I just bought 4 necklaces and 15 bracelets for a whole $5 there yesterday.

If you have a Disney Store close, stop in. They usually have the exact twirly things there! ALOT cheaper too! Plus, they have the standard stuffies alot cheaper too. About half price when I checked last year after returning from WDW. If there is a special one you KNOW DD will want- might as well pick it up and sneak it with
I shopped at Disney Store before our first trip years ago and packed many little trinkets and surprised DD with them periodically. We didn't have any I" wants" at all!

Your daughter is adorable! The twirlers (both with the scenes inside and with the spokes that turn) are very sturdy. My 3 1/2 year old DD has loved those things since she turned 1. That's always what she wants. We have collected them at Disney on Ice, Sesame Street Live, 2 Disney trips, and one other from a non-Disney vacation. They have been dropped, banged, shoved in a Toy box, had things thrown on top of them, and every one of them still works. They usually run between $10-15. You never know what is going to catch a 2 year olds eye at WDW. DD's 1st trip was at 2yrs 10 months. The first thing she became absolutely infatuated with and had to have was of all things a Minnie Mouse backscratcher. She went all over the parks holding that thing in her hand (it had to come in the stroller every morning) and she still plays with that thing. Have a great trip!!

There is a $10 store at Downtown Disney that definitely has stuffed animals that are a little bigger than beanies. http://allears.net/btp/dd_mm.htm

My DD fell in love with a "string thing" lights up and spins a colored string around, it cost $16. Make sure you bring cash for the street vendors as they aren't set up to take the KTTW cards.

They last for weeks too. We had one that lasted 2 1/2 months before it popped.
