I love this time of year: garden veggies
Tonight's dinner: Garden tomatoes, garden corn, garden squash (fried) w/ fried chicken.
Dessert: Fresh peaches, sliced, over vanilla ice cream.

I lost most of my tomatoes to blight. We have been cool and wet here in Ct...until this week, when summer is almost over.

We've been enjoying a lot of sweet corn, cucumbers, zucchini and summer squash so far.
Loads of tomatoes on the plants, but no red ones yet. I hope they ripen before we get our first frost. |

I think I miss it now, more than I enjoyed it back then. Mom and Dad had:
corn tomatoes green beans carrots melons radishes others I can not remember right now then they also had: wine grapes red apples three kinds green apples plums peaches cherries pears strawberries and raspberries, black and red Mikeeee
