Embarkation Group Photo-different boarding #s?

Embarkation Group Photo-different boarding #s?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK, haven't seen this question so thought I'd ask.

Scenario: At the terminal some of our family checks in at the non-Castaway Club (CC) member line, some check in at the CC member line and the two parties get different boarding #s. If you want to take a group photo before boarding, does the group who has the lower # just have to wait for the rest of the group with the higher boarding # and board together?

Alternatively, I guess we could all check in at the non-CC line to get the same boarding #s?

Since we are all arriving at the same time, I would guess the odds of having the same boarding # is fairly high?

Anyone experienced this scenario? Thanks in advance

You can all board on one number--on our last cruise we had a group of 6 with 2 different numbers. The CM took the higher (worse) number and had us keep the lower number when we got to the security photo line. She smiled and told us that if anyone asked, to tell them she had taken our other card!

There were 2 lines but they ended up right next to each other with one CM. When you got to the front, a CM asked if you were CC or not. If yes, you were sent to the next open desk (CC or not). If no, you waited for the next "regular" desk and he sent the nearest CC person to the CC desk.

Sorry, edited to be more clear. It was like the lines had 2 starting points, but ended up at almost the same place.

I cruised July 25th and there was 2 lines. One for CC and one for Non-CC. I will say that the CC line was much longer than the non-cc line when I got there, which was at 10:00.

It's funny to think that there is a strong probablility that the number of CC passengers now outnumbers the new passengers! Maybe they should make half and half of all of those check-in desks! Just a thought!

There were 2 lines, but they had an endpoint right next to each other at the front. Thus, one CM was managing things. We were in the CC line and were directed to a "non CC" desk to check in as it opened first. He was working the lines to be fair to all, and as you got to the front he asked if you had cruised before. After seeing your comment, I realize that he shouldn't have needed to ask, but....

For OP, we had some in our group who had cruised before and some who had not. Since the lead names on both cabins were CC, I (we) used that line.

OK. We usually go to the non CC line because at 10:30 the CC line is much longer.
