Why does touringplans list Mondays as more crowded than Sundays?
Starting around September, tourningplans crowd calendar shows that Mondays are usually busier than Sundays. It would seem to me that weekends would generally be more crowded than weekdays. Am I missing something here? Does anyone know whether the touringplans crowd calendars are usually accurate and, if so, why Mondays tend to be more crowded than Sundays?

Because crowd predictions don't really work.

Sunday is a travel day. People are going home, and coming in. All the people that came will be in the parks on Monday

But we also hypothesized that a lot of people save Epcot for last (MK = Disney, Studios = thrill rides, and AK was brand new at the time ... this was pre-Soarin' and MS) and that may not be the case anymore.

The crowd calendars are based on MK. Lots of people arrive and leave, especially leave, on Sundays. Plus, those that come in on Fridays (or even Saturday mornings) can't wait to get to MK, so they go then and go somewhere else on Sunday.

Most families with kids travel on the weekend and get to the world on Sunday night. They sleep in, and their kids want to go see Mickey first. So where do they head? MK.
