DAY 9-APRIL 9th.(this is along post by the way-hope i don't bore you)
.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.
Happy Birthday Chloe

Today out of the whole holiday was the most i was looking forward to.It was Chloe's 8th birthday and boy did we have a suprise for her.
I woke at 4.45am,got up+quickly got myself ready as we had an early start today.5.15am my Mum rang wanting to wish Chloe a 'Happy Birthday'.I woke Chloe+apart from a few 'mmmm's,yeah's+thanks' she did'nt say much to Mum .Next was my Nan+Grandad to ring-Chloe had woken a little by now and managed a few more words. Then she got up+made her way into the lounge to see her pressies,cards,balloon's+banner's-she was so suprised-as we had told her before we came away that there will be no pressies+cards until we get home.We also told her that we could'nt take balloon's+banner's on the plane ,and bless her she fell for it.(we also told her that there would be no cake as well ).
She excitedly unwrapped her pressies-Diamond Mickey Studs+a Tinkerbell watch from us.HSM Mickey+Minnie soft toy+a Chloe Disney Pin from Emily.$20 Disney Dollars from David+Ray(wickesy).HSM jacket from Kerry+family(the Fetherstons).Costume jewellery from a school friend.£120 from family which we changed into $$ before we came away........

She opened her card from us-which read inside--'we hope you enjoy your suprise at Magic Kingdom'.Well this started the 20 questions .
We finished getting ourselves ready and were down in reception for 6.45am,we got a taxi to Mk-$39.The girls were wondering why we had'nt had any brekkie-i just said were running late+we will get something here.We arrived at 7.20am,and went straight to a window to get Chloe a birthday badge+her $63 birthday gift card-we just showed them a copy of her passport. It was EMH-not a good day to come to MK-it was, before they changed it to EMH 2weeks before we flew out .So no empty Main Street for us,or empty Castle pics ,it was very packed already .We still got our pics done-on a rather chilly main street-with Emily have a major meltdown, over the cold. You can see from this picture just how busy it was at aprox 7.55am...........

We then made our way towards the Castle-when i said to Chloe-'would you like to know what your suprise is','yes, she said'.'You're having breakfast inside the Castle with the Princess's for your birthday' i said. She stopped walking looked at me,looked at Daddy, put her hands to her mouth, started crying(i am crying now-whilst writing this ),and said 'really mummy'.I started crying+said 'yes, come on or we will be late'.So off we went for our 8.05am ressie .
We went to the desk+i gave my ressie number+had to confirm Chloe's details-as i had told them it was Chloe's birthday when i made the ressie, then queued to go in(whilst Tony ran to get Fastpasses for Dumbo). We then waited to get our picture done with Cinderella.........

They also let me take pics of just the girls with Cinderella on my camera .We were then shown upstairs to be seated.WOW-the inside of the Castle is truly amazing...............

Our table had castle sprinkles all over it,and the girls wishing star's+wands were already placed on the table. Our server came over+presented Chloe with a birthday certificate which the Princess's would sign-as well as her autograph book .She wished her a 'Magical Happy Birthday',and then went to get us juice+coffee, pastry basket+fruit.Me+Tony then had bacon,2 sausage, scrambled eggs, potato casserole+a fried blueberry doughnut-which was awesome. The girls had french toast,bacon+eggs-i thought it strange that they never got sausage ,we did ask for extra and our server was very happy to get us some .The pastry basket was lovely-choc croissant, danish, custard danish+cinamon roll.
Whilst we were eating they started to announce the Princess's one by one,we saw Aurora,Belle,Jasmine+Snow White......

they were great with the girls+paid lot's of attention to Chloe+wished her a happy birthday, signed her certificate.............

and also wrote happy birthday love....in her autograph book.Halfway through seeing the Princess's our server brought out a cupcake with a candle on for Chloe+we all sang Happy Birthday to her-so did other people from tables next to us.......

Both girls really enjoyed the wishing ceremony-again i was gutted with the way my pics turnt out ,then all too soon it was time to leave. My opinion on this-the food was just fine-barely warm, nothing spectacular+was'nt really an awful lot of it for us adults-BUT we all know it certainly is'nt the food you are paying for.Although the princess's were great with the girls-they still seemed like they were in a rush to get to the next table,where-as me+hubby also wanted our pictures done with them but this did'nt happen.I would'nt book this again, but i was glad we tried it+got the experience to dine in the Castle. But this was Chloe's special treat and i would have paid double for it,as she was stunned by it all and enjoyed every second of it .The cost was $156.53(pre-paid at home, does'nt inc tip) ,but did include our main picture+4 smaller ones with Cinderella in a lovely presentation folder, and the girls got to keep the wands+stars.
Once outside,i waited whilst Tony+the girls popped into Tinkerbells Treasures to get a carrier bag to put our photo's in-they were gone a while .So i went in search of them-and i found Chloe standing there with the 3 Cast Member's singing Happy Birthday+doing a dance for her ,Tony was filming it,i took pics but it was so dark in there-they were very blurry+you could hardly make them out .One CM sprinkled pixie dust on her+told her to make a wish-then light's started flashing around the shop+the wand they were using to sprinkle the dust was lighting up,they also sprinkled pixie dust on Emily. They asked me if i would like some, and Tony said go on-so the CM told me to shut my eyes+make a wish as he sprinkled my head with pixie dust-he told me to keep my eyes closed+turn around ,then he said 'open your eyes+there is your Prince Charming'-whilst pointing at Tony-i laughed and said thanks alot+they started laughing. It was a great few minutes .
We left there, and by now it was getting very hot and very packed,we went straight to Snow White-40min wait,by now we could get another fastpass, this time for Peter Pan.We then rode Dumbo.....

even with our fastpass we still waited aprox 20mins-i looked at the normal line and it was saying 65mins .I loved Dumbo-this was a first for me,i have always wanted to ride it even when i used to come here with my Nan+Grandad but always felt embarrased to do so.Fantasyland was getting pretty hectic now-so we made our way round to Toontown-as it only opened 15mins ago at 10am to meet Tinkerbell, remember it was a very long 75mins on Day 3 ,well that now seemed like a good idea-as this time it was 90mins -i could have cried, screamed+slapped myself for not queueing last time .We hesitantly got into line+waited+waited+waited-you get the picture .Tony went to get fastpasses for Jungle Cruise+rode Space Mountain+brought us back a coke to share. Then after 70mins of queuing-we were third from the front to enter-Emily needed the TOILET -you have got to be freaking kidding me .Tony rushed her to the nearest toilet+thankfully they were back in time .As we entered we were 'shrunk down to size with pixie dust'+the girls were made to fly into the room where the fairie's were. The theming is fantastic, but the experience was terrible+very rushed-we were in+out in under 5mins-no joke. The girls autograph books were taken from them from a CM,whilst other kids were still having there pics done, inbetween this the fairies were then signing our girls books+the kids behind us books, where they reached the end+put with a pile of autograph books waiting to be collected-good job i put the girls names inside there's.The girls were passed along for a quick photo+that was it.I was not very happy to say the least .Such a shame when a child-Emily in my case adores a character so much-waits nearly 90mins to see them-then gets pushed in front of her, told to smile+then on your merry way ........

Anyway we leave there half-heartedly,and make our way back to Fantasyland-BIG MISTAKE-it was heaving-there were CM's directing you up+down and not to walk the wrong way-we were like a chain gang.We made our way to Peter Pan where with the fastpass it took us 15min instead of the posted 80min wait time.We were going to get a fastpass for It's A Small Word-as Emily really enjoyed this but the return time was 5.15pm and our coach was picking us up at 4.50pm,standard line was 90min .

To be honest we were getting pretty irked with the crowds, each other+the heat-even birthday girl Chloe ,so we took time out to go shopping. We bought Chloe a Birthday Hat,mini photo album+a stamping set to go with her other gifts from us......

Chloe bought with her Disney Dollars, some limited edition pens+a keyring. With her Gift Card she wanted $$ instead-so we gave her the equivalent+spent the card on a box of Storybook Christmas Ornaments,4 placemats+a pack of magnetic clips for the fridge.Emily bought a Pluto,Tinkerbell+Minnie pencil+a Bolt storybook.
We made our way to the Magic Carpets which was showing 30mins so we waited-we all loved this and another first for me(well all of us).We then asked if there was anywhere to meet Aladdin-but we had missed him for today,so we took a seat tucked away-next to a bazaar shop, with lots of hats hanging up ,i have no idea where this was-but it was lovely+cool+in the shade-they were like stone curved seats.Tony went to Casey's,whilst the girls had a rest+i wrote some trip notes as he was gone ages......

He came back with 4 hot dogs+a lge coke-$23.06-oh boy these hot dogs are soooo good .Then me+Tony shared a Dole Whip Float+the girls shared a Dole Whip-$7.33.Suitably refreshed we made our way to Jungle Cruise,i love this ride and never tire of the jokes .After this we had a look around and then we saw Peter Pan arriving so quickly got in line for pics+autographs....

We started the slow walk back to the parking lot, where on the way out we got in line for the Easter Bunnies...........

We had a great day at MK-did'nt really get as much done as i was expecting-the crowds were ridiculous, but Chloe had a great Birthday+that's all that mattered-so many CM's wished her a Happy Birthday, even guests in the queues did.
We got back to our hotel at 5.45pm,where i went straight to see Robert-who told me it was fine to go up to the room .Well we let Chloe open the door and go in first, well i could'nt believe what i saw. There was helium filled balloons in the living room,on the dining table were party blowers, party hats, hershey kisses, birthday plates+serviettes, cake knife, candles+a card for Chloe from the hotel staff-but NO cake ,i told the girls to go into the bedroom and take there shoes off,so i could quickly ring down to reception-when we heard Chloe yell 'mummy quick come here',and on the bed was an Easter Bunny holding a bunch a helium balloons+the cake....

I was gobsmacked with all the extras,i put the candles on the cake, but then i realised we had no lighter/matches ,Chloe was'nt worried,so we sang Happy Birthday and she pretended to blow them out.The cake was huge,so we cut off a large chunk+took it downstaris to Robert(a piece for his wife)+for the staff that were on duty with him tonight to enjoy. He spoke to Chloe for a while, and asked her what she had done today, before we went to TGI Friday's for dinner-Chloe's choice..............

Girls shared an adults fish+chips,Emily had a sprite,Chloe had a Strawberry Slushie-free as it was her Birthday.
Tony-Salmon,rice+broccoli,bottle of Bud.
Me-Baby back ribs, fries+a Pina Colada(where i was asked for id-which i forgot to bring out-she called her manager over who thankfully believed me).
We also had a fried pork raviolli dish with the meal(which was free as i had a coupon).Total was $72 inc tip.We did'nt have dessert as we were going to have some of Chloe's cake.Everyones meal was great-although my ribs were quite dry.We popped into Walgreens to get a thank you card for Robert+a box of chocs.
We got back to the room for said cake-OMG i have never tasted a birthday cake like this before-it was gorgeous,soft+creamy-not hard icing like we have on our cakes. After an extremley long, tiring, hot, sweaty+busy day the girls were bathed+in to bed at 9pm+we were showered and crawled into bed at 10pm.

Coming Up On Day 10-A Realxing(But Felt Like A Wasteful)Day .Stay Tuned .

Wow what a fab birthday!!! I am glad Chloe had such a magical day, even with the crowds it sounds like you made it special.

We loved our breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table but agree that I wouldn't rush back...only if we went with children.

What a great hotel manager, he really looked after you guys & sounds as though he went way beyond your expectations.

I love it when I get asked for id......hasn't happened the past few trips so I guess I look like an old bird now.

Roll on Day 10!

Naughty Mummy telling fibsies to Chloe. Sounds like she had a great birthday though and I'm glad she found something nice to buy with her Disney Dollars (or the dollars she conned you out of so she could keep them for her scrapbook )

Shame about the visit with Tinkerbell being rushed but she looks gorgeous in that picture.

Your hotel manager definitely knows the meaning of 'customer service' and how nice of you to share the cake with him and the staff.

Looking forward to Day 10.

What a fantastic day - and it sounds like Chloe enjoyed her birthday. There's not many kids around can boast that they had a birthday breakfast with the princesses.
Shame about EMH being changed and the parks being so busy - but as long as Chloe enjoyed her day thats all that matters.
Good choice on her restaurant for tea as well.

Wow, what an amazing day!

I think that must be the best 8th birthday in the history of the world!

I love Chloe's reaction when she found out she was having breakfast with the princesses so cute!!!

I didnt know about the birthday $63 dollar thing when we were there, other wise we could have cleaned up on our joint birthday!! Well at least I know for next year!

And Robert comes through once again for you If I ever open up a hotel I want his number!!

Today was so amazing I'm not even going to moan about the whereabouts of day 10

My thoughts exactly.

What a fabulous day inspite of the crowds the hotel manager really came up trumps and Michelle, I am so glad you got your photo with Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny!
