Our best moment
The best thing that happened to us was at the Magic Kingdom last year. We were watching the Spectromagic parade and my daughter was dressed in a Cinderella outfit. When the float with Cinderella and Prince Charming went past us, Cinderella pointed at my daughter and whispered something in Prince Charming's ear. It was so obvious that my husband and I both turned to each other and said "Did you see her point and say something?".
Anyway, a couple of minutes later we got tapped on the shoulders by a cast member and told that Cinderella had picked our daughter out as the Prettiest girl in the Magic Kingdom that night! It was a "Year of a Million Dreams" prize and she got given the biggest Mickey Ears shaped cookie and tub of ice cream ever! It's a memory we'll never ever forget especially as it was out first visit to WDW!! |

There were a few for me so i'll try and keep them short.
2006: My DD was 4 at the time and we went to MK. We were waiting in line to see Goofy, It was her turn and suddenly the CM advised Goofy was going to take a break and would be back in 15 minutes, DD started "bawling" Suddenly Goofy stops turns around grabs her hand and starts dancing with her so she would stop crying. so she got to dance with goofy as well as get her picture. A little embarassing but also preciois moment. ![]() DD got picked to be in the Jr Chef show. ![]() 2008: We were going to ride Soarin but the line was extremely long so we decided to ride the Living the Land?(name of ride)When we got off the ride we were greeted by a Dream Team...we won ears ![]() ![]() My DD had an early BBB appt before the park opened. We had a 930 CRT appt and decided to take some pics of main st with her in her outfit before it got too crowded. The park opens and suddenly my DD sees Mary Poppins coming out, she runs up to her and MP grabs her hand and proceeds to take a stroll around the whole yard of main st. It was a highlight for me because I love MP. ![]() ![]() And this is probably my most treasured memory....My parents came ![]() The last time my parents were at WDW was back in 1983, they surprised us with a trip and we stayed at the Poly. So I finally got my parents to go back with us and this time I surprised them... We were not staying at the Poly but I told them we were going to drop by so they could see how its changed and said lets go have breakfast. Little did they know it was a character breakfast. They LOVED it. I also surprised them by eating inside the castle at CRT.

Does my wedding count?
![]() Dh and I planned a semi elopement for our trip in 99. We hired the Reverend from Lifetime TV's Disney Weddings of a Lifetime, hired a photographer and videographer, gave them each others information and left everything up to them... all we knew was the date we would be married. We had a note the day before left in our hotel that told us where to be and at what time and they put it all together. It was just dh, myself and the hired entourage and we were married on the waterway between the Dolphin and Swan (they closed it off the pathways for our ceremony and pictures). It was awesome and we felt like such celebrities walking back through the hotel after with random strangers taking pictures of us. We were back to our room, changed, and in the parks in our just married ears and shirts by noon. ![]() FYI as for family and everyone that was not invited (they all knew before we left we were getting married), we had a party 2 weeks after we got home and had our proofs and video in hand to show everyone. |

Here's 2 of my special moments.............. As many of you know, my kids are autistic. My son is completely non-verbal. He has a few sounds that he uses to communicate and has some sign but no "real words". On our very first trip, we were at Camp Minnie Mickey which was much different than it is now. Safari Minnie approached my son and we explained to her that he doesn't speak. She started signing and gesturing with him. He reached up and hugged her so tight and gave her a big kiss on the nose. She stayed with him the entire time we were in that area as his own personal escort. It was so cool! ![]() My DD is very anti-social (not in a mean way but in a "I have autism kind of way") She always stays toward the back so that she won't get picked for performances or parades. Last year we were at the Block Party Bash ( for the 2nd time because she liked it so much) and there was a Dancer performing right in front of us. We were in the HC viewing area (DS usies a wheelchair at Disney). The dancer came into our area and reached for my DD's hand. She started to shy away. He came a little close and whispered something in her ear. Next thing we knew she was in the parade, dancing and clapping and having a ball!

I have no special moments yet...although I have a funny one..my first trip with my son..he was 8months I took him to MVMCP...and I had some chocolate chip cookies and milk...and we were so busy having fun, I never went to the bathroom till after midnight..I think I changed his diapers in his stroller..anyways...I had a chocolate smudge on my nose and it dried up and so all my pictures and pics with characters I had a brown spot on my nose...LOL...
when I looked at my face I Was like OMG nobody told me anything (I was by myself with him)...I was so mad..but then when I went home to look at the pics closer I started laughing! |
