My BF and I do not spend a lot on each other for Christmas or b-days. So often when you feel like you have to spend a lot of $$ things become burdensome instead of fun.

I'm ptting together a WDW good bag for BF whose b-day is friday and we'll be doing a WDW trip together soon. I'll treat her to lunch at WDW during the trip.

Nothing.... except on his 40th, I contributed $100 towards his new $3000 bicycle!

Hey, he loves it and uses it, so all is good.

$50-$75 depending on what I find. One year we did more than that- she took me into the city for a night out. My dh paid for a hotel and she got us play tickets!!

Her birthday just passed and I'm seeing her next week so I have to come up with something. If all else fails we buy each other the latest Lancome item. We've been best friends since Kindergarten!

Adults in our circle do not exchange B'Day gifts. A few drinks or a meal...

I spend usually about 40.00 ish on her, this year it is a ticket to see Rick Springfield. Funny thing is another friend bought me a ticket to see Rick too for my bday.. so I only have to buy one LOL!
She on the other hand spends usually at least 100.00 or more on me. She is wealthy and we make no where near her income. She bought the two of us Def Lepard tickets for my bday.. 5th row.. when i saw the price on the tickets I almost died.
We go next week , I am so excited!!

We dont do Christmas presents, we just buy for our kiddos.

Sigh...other than WDW, if I could actually live anywhere else, it would be at our SuperTarget

We give each other one of our vacation days. We both work for the same company and plan one full day right around each of our birthdays when we both take vacation and spend the day together. We do a Panera coffee/pastry/talk talk talk in the morning first, then hit any stores we're interested in. Then we have a long lunch/talk talk talk treated by the non birthday girl. Then the afternoon is at SuperTarget, our shopping addiction.

We do the same for Christmas - except in this case we are required to spend $20 on ourselves for something completely frivolous and consider it "from" the other.

These traditions have really been a lot of fun over the years.
