Smile Photopass Ideas

So, we are going back to Disney and are finishing up our Photopass edits for our CD from our last trip. I have to tell you the same poses over and over can get a little boring. Does anyone have any cute ideas of different poses different ideas. We did as many special effects as we could find but we need some change for our next trip.

If you have any of your own pics from photopass that are different I would love to see them. Thanks for all of your ideas.

I know it's from the Disneyland area, but this is a thread of different poses people do for photopass. It gave me cute ideas for my upcoming trip.

Yea and verily it is written that man was not intended to haveth
more than thirty and six exposures per roll.

He therefore, did not haveth need of myriad of poses for occasions of mirth.

Arriveth the Age of Digital-

Spring forth boundless likeness engraved upon drives of hardness.

Pose not for limitless horizons.

Then pause, nay, only for times triumphant!

Just ordered my cd, so can't post them yet. But my HANDS DOWN fav. was on our last day at MK, had the girls put on their ears and wave goodbye to the castle from Main St. They were holding hands, and the pic was taken from behind. DH cries when he looks at it. Oh yeah, it's a good one!

Question? How do you get the photographer to do some of the fun poses? Like a sword fight with Captain Hook, or pointing to stitch on the ground? Do you ask? I had the one done with tinkerbell in my daughters hand, but I didn't ask, the photographer told us to pose like that. He was the only one all week to do a "fun" pose though, and I'd like more next time. How do you go about getting them to do that?

Just ask the photographer if they can do any of the special effects like the Tink one. Hopefully your photographer will be able to do this.

Smile

these are some great ideas.

Everytime we go up to a photographer we ask them if they do any magic shots if they did great if they didn't they told us where we could go to get them done. We still take pics with the first photographer though. Every shot is different and with a child you can never catch enough expressions.

Does anyone have anymore ideas

Great thread idea! We don't like all the special effects poses so ours tend to be a bit boring. Of course, if a photographer wants to do a special pose we don't refuse, we just know it probably won't be our favorite.

Some of our best pictures were at Typhoon Lagoon in the lazy river with the innertubes. Those photographers earn their pay there!

Also, in EPCOT WS we got some good pics with characters dressed in different country costumes. We got a good one with Donald in his Mexican outfit. Just be aware, Disney will not let you take pics with margaritas in hand! We didn't think about it but they sure let us know.

We also did the photo shoot at the Poly last year and used some for our Christmas cards. That was definitely worth it! It made it more worthwhile to us to buy the CD.

For a shot at Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, or Haunted Mansion, look very frightened.

Anything at AK - arms up in the air - an animal spreading its wings.

Mimic the poses of Walt/Mickey or Roy/Minnie on Main Street MK

Look for photographers around the world in EPCOT. You can get some really neat regular shots.

We also had a photographer on the World walkway (between spaceship earth and world showcase) take our photo looking towards the Imagination Pavillion instead of towards World Showcase.

With that idea in mind, the photographers will take your photo with any surrounding backdrop. I don't think you would remove the castle to get tomorrowland instead, but you may choose that from a side view. If there is nobody waiting, get various views in your background. This will probably be fun for the photographer to do something different.

Get into charector w/ the charectors. That is reason we bought our first photopass cd 2 years ago and will be getting it again this year (but saving big $$ w/ preorder). Try to incorporate these things:
Having a gun fight w/ Wodoy
Pose like a super hero w/ the Incredibles
DH 'kissing' a courtseying princesses' hand (we saw almost all of the pricesses)
Doing the genie pose (think I dream of genie) w/ Genie
Throw a fit w/ Donald
Take a pic of your whole group all smiling and happy at begining of the week , then line them up end of the week and look all tired and exhausted in front of ______, kinda of a before/after shot

My youngest daughter just hams it up for a camera. I found that the people at DHS seem to like to have fun with you the most. It didn't seem like we had tons of traditional poses there. And of course don't be afraid to have fun. Kids just love to see their parents acting goofy

before the magic

When my nephew and I were in Epcot near Mexico last year, the Photopass photographer told us to sit on a bench and leave some space between us. She said to look at the empty space with a shocked expression on our faces. Disney would digitally insert a character in the blank space.

Right after that, we looked at our Photopass photos in a shop near the front of Epcot. We saw the Mexico photo, and Disney had not yet digitally inserted the character in the empty space.

It was a photo of the two of us looking at nothing, with shocked expressions on our faces. It was hysterical.

By the time the character was put in the photo, it wasn't funny at all.

I wish that I had gotten a print of the photo when we first looked at it.
