Is a small Backpack considered a personal item on Air Tran???

We are leaving Thursday and we all have small carry-ons...I will also have my purse, dh will have our camera bag (very small) and I was hoping my boys could count one small backpack with their Dsi and Leapster inside as their personal carry on item. The pack is small and won't be stuffed! Does anyone know???

We have flown Airtran before and I have taken two carry on items. One a small carrying case and a purse. I have seen children take on a small luggale bag and a toy. I highly doubt you will have any problems.

Yes, but during takeoff it must fit under the seat in front of them and not stick out. You will be fine.

My last trip on Airtran I took a roll aboard and my backpack with my laptop in it. The backpack went under my seat.

In June 2008, I carried a BIG baggalini bag (as a purse over the shoulder) and had a roll-on, too. The baggalini was the biggest one they have with all the pockets in it. I don't remember what it's called, but it was great. Never had a problem.

As long as your personal item can fit completely under the seat in front of you then you are good to go.

Samll roll on for medical equipment and medications...

Hello, travelling with Air Tran the first time in December. Travelling with my son who has cystic fibriosis and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. We are going on Vacation for a month.

We need to take my son's aresol machine, big jars of peg3350, aresol mask, pep mask ,tubing and 12 other medications.... A months supply.

Can I put these altogether in a small roll on bag and can he still have his carry on? Carry on for a change of cloths, DS lite , snacks, swim suit and netbook?

Many Thanks

Charley
