Day 2 from our refurbished room at BWV (many pics) - The DIS Discussion Forums

We checked into BWV yesterday, and couldn't be more thrilled with our room assignment. I requested a high floor with a view of the canal. We were given exactly that. To sweeten the pot, we're in a section that's already been refurbished. The room is beautiful.

Great pix. My DW and I are staying at BWV in Oct.. 1st time staying at BW. Your pix was just what I needed to keep me sane until our arrival. We'll be celebrating our 10 year anniversary there. Hope we get a room with a nice view like yours. Thanks Dex

Thanks for the great pictures. The re-done rooms look great, and so do the new hallways.

One question.............was that an OLD TV and cabinet in the studio?

If so..........

Am I the only one that really doesn't like the new decor? The one bedroom looks OK I guess, although the old couch doesn't really match the rest of the room. Hopefully they just haven't gotten to the reburbishment of those yet. I hear flat screen TVs and new stands are on the way, so hopefully the couch will be covered in new material at the same tme.

I think the pink in the studios is way too much. I hate the flower bedspread with the striped bedskirt. Hopefully I will like them better when I see them in person. I remember feeling the same way about the decor of BLT when I first saw the pictures, but when I toured them in person I came away with a fresh persepective. (Even thought I am not a fan of modern decor.)

Guess I will just have to hold off judgement until October 18th!

Thanks for the pics Dave. This is the second report I have seen of a refurbed room at BWV. Why are they not replacing the TV with flat panels? I believe every other refurbed DVC has gotten them. Thanks again.

Someone posted that a manager said the new cabinets are still on order. Not sure if I believe that, they have been promising new TV's for years. Those old cabinets really need to go, along with the TV.

I know OKW still has the old ones, not sure about BCV, SSR, VWL.

We're in a preferred garden/pool. I'd waitlisted for a boardwalk view, but now I'm almost glad we didn't get it.

I had the same reactions as well to the pink studio and the floral couch.

I guess that is truly a themed motif!
