Staying at GC, where am I going to get that first cup of coffee/latte at 6:00am? Anyplace in Downtown Disney open at that time?

Uncle had an "in" with Walt
I love those rainy days with the decreased crowds

Your room!! I am also an early riser and it looks like there is nothing open without crossing Harbor.

You might try the lobby. I don't remember seeing any there, but they have it in the lobby of each tower at the DLH. I guess if you wanted to you could walk down there and get some! They have to-go cups with lids and they also have flavored creamers as well as real half-and-half. We stayed concierge last time we were at GCH so we got our coffee in the lounge and I didn't notice whether or not they offered it in the lobby, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. PPH may also have it in the lobby, but again, I'm not sure. I only know for certain that you can get it (free) in the DLH lobbies. Other than that, as blackjackdelta said, you'll have to make your own or trek outside of the resort, I think. I sure couldn't find anything to eat or drink in DTD in the early morning hours. If you need something to eat early (like I do), buy something the night before or grab something from Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main St. if you go in early to the park. My family heads over to Space Mountain while I grab a cinnamon roll or muffin. It only takes me a couple of minutes but they don't have it in them to wait
