Help with November Plan of Attack!

So I always say "don't worry about the days, just do your thing and have fun"

Well. Now that I am trying to plan "my thing" I am going dizzy crazy!

What do you think:

Nov 12-20

Thur 12th: land @airport 1pm
early dinner 1900 P.F between 430-5pm adr

Fri 13th:
Chef Mickeys breakfast, 8am-830ish adr *or tomorrow*
Epcot
Le Cellier, around 430 to try to avoid some crowd

Sat 14th:MK
Sun 15th:DHS Sci Fi dine in adr approx 11a-1130a (whenever they open)

Mon 16th:
AK
Hoop De Doo Revue 530p

Tues 17th:
Pirate cruise from GF
Downtown Disney
whatever else the kids want to do, whether it is a park or swim or whatever

Wed 18th:
Akershus Breakfast Adr around 8am
EPCOT

Thur 19th:
MK (it is an a.m. EMH)
late breakfast at Crystal Palace, around 1030am (last breafkast time?) to take advantage of EMH

Fri 20th:

home plane leaves at 330pm, pick up will be by what, 1130?12noon? for airport...so we may have time for an hour to pick up last minute stuff or to swim, do not intend on going to a park.

I have more meals planned, ie on AK day we may do the character buffet late morning , like 1030 am (what is last seating?)

Chef Mickey is the traditional way that I have always started disney. Plus it gets meeting the big characters (at least to my kids) (Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Minnie) out of the way so we can just 'wave hi' when passing their long lines at the park. :O) So I would rather keep it before Epcot, not minding arriving at epcot after rope drop. we have 2 epcot days, and we can always do World showcase this day, and Future world our second day.

I am not sure what the crowds are usually like this time of year, does it stillhold true that MK is PACKED on a saturday?? we are doing the saturday because the friday there is a MVMCP and we are not going to that, and altho I think we will be out of the park by 7pm, I was leaving time to do a bit more at the park if the kids wanted

in otherwords, should I change my Epcot and MK days around (fri /sat)?

Help. I am going crazy!

I would go to Akershus the day I was in Epcot.
Chef Mickey the day I was in MK.
Hoop Dee Doo the day I was in MK.

The plan looks great even if you don't change those. It's still a good plan.

hmm. I Missed a post on there! we are doing akershus on our 2nd day in Epcot. But what i was wondering, was if our days work out with good days for the parks? I recall hearing that saturday was a good day for MK because many are only just arriving that day, but also heard that it was a bad day because thats when it gets busy with locals! but maybe it is a bit better in november?

I dunno! ?

I see from the calendar that Epcot has evening EMH on November 13. Are you planning to attend those?

If not, then you might want to consider switching the two days so as to avoid an EMH day at both parks. (Looks like MK doesn't have EMH on either the 13th or the 14th.)

But frankly, at that time of year, I doubt that crowds will be much of a problem.

hmmm. Yes I see that.... good catch!!! I think I will sit back with the plan and consider this.

Hi! I'm also interested in this thread as we are just one day off from your plans. We will be there from 11/11 to 11/19. I am trying to figure out when to go to the MK too. Our only options for the MK (if we want to see SpectroMagic/Wishes) are the Saturday and Monday. I have read somewhere that Mondays are awful for crowds, but like you mentioned isn't Saturday as well?? Also, the Monday is a EMH day. It's driving me crazy trying to pick between those two days. So I'm with you, all MK experts out there--can you help us???

Yep....another reason why I picked the saturday was for wishes. BUT, if we are willing to skip that we 'may' have better crowds on Friday.

sigh. how terrible to have to be faced with these kinds of choices in life, eh?

and ironically I read your reply and think "go the saturday" LOL maybe I should take my own advice?

I have relaxed a bit ...by planning meals later in the day, allows us to maximize the lines early in the day then still have our breakfast later. also not freaking about not being at epcot on friday when it opens, and going after we are done at chef mickeys.

BUT I still want to try to maximize some of the crowd level indicators.

Maybe I will just stick with what I have and be done with it. LOL

edited to add: are you staying at the boardwalk? so nice!!!!!!!
pps: glad to see I am not the only one with "odd" days of departure. Thursday to Friday for me, Wed to a thurs for you!

I am so with you!

We actually just bought into DVC with Boardwalk our "home" resort--but we are staying at Kidani Village in AK this time. We are all super excited!!

The Wednesday to Wednesday is throwing me off a bit--every time I look at my "chart" I can't keep my days straight. BTW, this is our 4th trip during November. We have stayed the first week 2 times and it is quite busy due to "Jersey Week". Last year we stayed the week before Thanksgiving and it was awesome!!! So I'm hoping that this year our dates are great as well--but I'm just not sure what to expect for the Saturday. (We always traveled on Saturdays.) So again, calling all experts . . .

EXCELLENT NEWS !!! I hope that holds true!

When my ex and i went first week in december in 2001, it was great.

When we went with my family in Dec 2006, it was insanely busy. Even CM's were saying it was way worse than what was expected!
