DDP at check-in even if room isn't ready? - The DIS Discussion Forums

I think this is true, but need to confirm. If we try to check-in early and our room isn't ready, can we still receive our KTTW card so that we can have lunch at the food court of the hotel?

Yup! And I think you can leave your number and they will call/text you when your room is ready so you can go to the parks,pools, or eat as soon as you check in

We check in...room not ready, we still get our KTTW and go on our happy way.

yes we did this last year. checked in at 7 am. Off to the MK for rope drop. room wasn't readsy untill after 4.

we've done this virtually every time we go to WDW...have checked in as early as 9:30 a.m...we get our KTTW cards, hit the parks & have lunch before we get our room usually. Used to be they'd give you a card with a number to call but now I think they will call you.

We just did this a few weeks ago. Got the KTTW card and off we went. They will either call or text you (your preference) when your room is ready!! It was wonderful!!
