GF Main Building Aug. 30-Sept. 4?

We just received a notification on my Facebook profile from a travel agent, Travel with Magic about Disney's Grand Floridian Main Building guests(Floors 3, 4, and 5)will be moved out of the main buildings from Aug. 30-Sept. 4 due to marble repairs on the 1st floor. Is this true. I will be staying Aug. 23-Aug. 28 and was wondering if this will affect me at all.

Obviously you will be leaving before these dates and I don't think it will affect you at all. I also don't know if there is any validity to the notification that you received but I truly can't see them closing down the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors of the main building. Maybe the main elevator on the first floor going to RPC will be closed but there is another elevator around the back that you can access as well. Go on the GF thread here on the DIS and ask the ladies over there. I am sure they will be able to tell you. I do know that the GF was waiting for the marble to be delivered but don't know when the installation will take place.
