Trying to plan our two days with two young girls

For those that have visited Disney with small one's, what were your days like? This will be our first trip as a family (Dh and I have been prior), the girls first time. We will be staying at BLT for 3 nights/two days prior to our disney cruise. We are trying to fiqure out where to go with the girls...just MK? Do we attempt to goto AK? We have thought about buying single day admissions but are now re-thinking that as we are planning another trip for next August for about 5-7 days -perhaps we should by an AP?

Neither of our girls nap any longer so we don't need to run back so they can sleep. But do we spend both days at MK? (we have an ADR for CRT one f the mornings).

Any experience with little ones would be gratly appreciated!!

Not a DVC owner but I came across your post when i was looking to rent some points so i thought I would share my experience. i went with two small ones several years ago--mine were 5 and 3 at the time. We went during Xmas week so the parks were very busy. We could have easily spent at least 2 days at MK. Animal Kingsom was about a 1/2 day for us--guys too small to do all the things to do but they loved the safari which i would have done multiple times if the lines were not too long. Epcot was also a 1/2 day. I am sure we could have worked out a full day at epcot and AK if they were not so crowded--too much time standing on lines which the kids stopped tolerating after awhile. Best tip would be to rent one of the double strollers there--kids will last much longer if they are not waking around the whole day. Have a great trip!!

Definately MK one day....I would have your girls look over attractions--or if they're too young, you look and see what they might like at the other parks and then decide which you'd rather go to.

Although they have out-grown the need for naps, a break in the afternoon is always a good idea. We always head to the park for opening (much less crowded and you get to see the busy attractions without a huge wait) and after lunchtime head back for a swim. We then are refreshed and head back to the parks for dinner. You also avoid the afternoon heat this way.

Regarding tickets--single day tickets are the most expensive you can buy--I would strongly recommend not going this route. If you can swing it, I would buy a longer pass and add the non-expiration option. That way you can use it for your next trip, but aren't restricted to getting your trip in before the AP expires.

If you would prefer the APs, look at how many days you'd actually use them and figure the cost that way. We have bounced around getting the 10-day MYW and non-expiration rather than the APs because we could use them over 3-4 visits and not all within 12 months time for about the same price as the APs.

MK & Epcot

Two DDs (7,5) enjoy MK and Epcot. And, by staying at BLT, you are right there on the monorail to take you to both. MK is great and they will love CRT. Epcot has Akershus as well, which is a Princess dining for breakfast. We go to both of these parks every year. We through in an occasional HS and AK which are fun. AK has a lot of walking and is far away from BLT. HS has a lot of cool shows (Cars, Indiana Jones) but my girls prefer Ariel and Belle.

Thank you for the replies! I was thinking that MK may be the route to go this time and next time when we stay for longer we may do other parks as well. The beauty of staying at BLT is that you can walk to MK...and then come back for a quick rest!
