Good Morning ladies.

I haven't had time to catch up, but I wish everyone well .

The baby is REALLY moving now so when she is awake, I have to keep my eye on her so not much time to DIS or FB anymore. She always seems to go for the things she knows are bad. Why is that .

I miss you all & look forward to seeing some of you in a few weeks!

Off to check out the exchange thread.

Hi everyone. We came home yesterday from a wonderful 5 days at the river to smoke and ash. The Station Fire is very close to us. I've never seen so many fire trucks and fire fighters before. They have engines from every city. I'm not worried that the fire will reach us but I'm pretty sure the hills right above us will be burned. Last night the fire fighters were just waiting for it to come over the top of the hill. It's pretty scary and it is so smokey.

Toss lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber bits, grated cheese, crumbled bacon, slivers of celery a little grated carrots ..and you mix it all together. then i put a little of the Big Blue blue cheese dressing on it whenit's served. Probably not very healthy but really yummy It's my Dad's favorite

I love the movie... Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.. the ending always makes my heart go aaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwww...
Me too! Can't wait to meet you!!! The salad sounds really yummy and I think I can easily modify it for the non-meat eating teenager in the house and then add the meat for the rest of us meat lovers!

I haven't seen Practical Magic forever! I'm going to add that to my Netflix list!

I hope they can contain the fire and keep it from getting too close to you! Mr. CA works in Palmdale and says the smoke is really bad on his commute up the 14. Hopefully, you can stay in doors a lot until the smoke clears!

That must have been a shock to come home to. They say not to go outside and breathe it if you can help it. 121,000 acres burned but they had good humidity last night. This is all helping. It is cooler here today.

Dawn, that sounds like a really nice day to me. Love your salad - yum. Kelly, glad you go to enjoy the concert. What is your FB name? You can PM me with that if you want.

Just read that Murphy the dragon's press conference was called off! Wow, what is wrong with that dragon?

This may be a stupid question, but where exactly are the fires at? We will be driving from Vegas to Anaheim on Friday morning and I have been so darn busy that I haven't paid much attention beyond knowing the DLR isnt' being affected. However, I didn't really think about the fact that they might be somewhere between here and there!

I don't think you will run in to the fire. The red area is what is on fire. I live a few miles north-east of the flag. The yellow line is what has been evacuated.

Good afternoon chickalickas!
I woke up at noon today! I slept so heavily it was like I was drugged or something

Just had lunch with my roomie Beth and her friend Kelsey.
I have homework so I'm going to make sure I get it done before it's too late and I feel like watching a movie.

I'm trying to decide what to do this weekend because it's Labor Day on Monday so I have a 4 day weekend. I know it's not Disneyland because I'm blocked out and it's going to be crazy! I think I'm going to see what my parents are doing and maybe we can meet at the beach or something fun like that. Or maybe I can visit my family in Chino Hills, haven't seen them for a long time.

It's not too smokey in Palmdale today and it is so much cooler. Over the weekend it was bad, ashes all over everything and hard to breath.

Diana and I really like this movie, too. We promised each other that when I turn 21 we're going to have midnight margaritas! We definitely have to have a midnight margaritas night during our girls trip!!!
