Hello ladies.

I have not had a good week.

Yesterday ex-BF was stalking my office--he did a drive by . . . .slowly . . . . just as I walked out for lunch so I saw him. I don't think he saw me however. Yuck.

Then today has been a madhouse--a last minute rush to get a document signed by tomorrow and conveniently the other other side's assistant leaves at 11 a,.m. our time (he's on east coast) and he doesn't know how to use his computer. Then my client was only available to sign at 3:30 p.m. our time. So it was a mad rush to get it done (but we did).

THEN . . . .Bella chewed through my computer monitor cord this morning. Staples didn't have a replacement--I guess I will have to order one. THEN she chewed through the cord of my optical device this afternoon!!!! Which means that neither my mouse or keyboard work! So now I am using the ones off my extra computer (and I hate the keyboard).

It's been a day!

Edited to Add: Oh yeah--and the house across the street was burglarized yesterday. I had planned to leave Bella home today because I knew it was going to be a crazy work day, but brought her because I didn't want the burglars to get her. Remind me to go with my gut!

Hi Melody! I had gotten Boo'd by someone from the Single's Thread so I started Booing too but then I saw your Boo's and didn't want to overdue it for everyone so that is why I only sent out a few! The Boo's are fun, aren't they? I am so ready for Halloween time!

Ugh...I just hate days like that! Ex boyfriends, they need to get a life - they are ex's for a reason! I left the state and got rid of one, it was such a relief! I hope your evening is better...have a glass of wine in the nice cool A/C. 'Bad Bella', oh but she's so cute!

I've been whinning about the heat all day and I like heat but not this heat, high 80's low 90's are more my kind of heat.

Melody, that was sooo sweet!

I only have a second but read Cheryl's Very Bad Week - I'm so sorry. Have you tried Bitter Apple for the cords? At the pet store. You need to use something to train her not to chew these. They can be dangerous for her.

Later....

What kind of monitor cord is it? We have lots of extra cords laying around here! As well as keyboards and mouses, or mice, whichever you prefer!

Ugghhh. I am so sorry, Cheryl.
Vicki is right, ex'es are ex'es for a reason, get over it and on with your pathetic life! And Miss Bella is out of control! Apparently she is on a chewing rampage. I hope things get much better real soon.

Hey girls. I waited for my boss to leave the office today so I could sneak on the Dis and when she left I got super busy. Of course.

Yesterday my Mom called the storage place and the lady tried to start an argument with my Mom over the phone. She kept telling to her (in a raised voice) that she didn't want to do it and she had no choice. And how terrible she felt and if we would have answered her letters this would have never happened. She told my Mom some other stuff too, but I don't remember now. My Mom said she stopped her mid sentence and told her "I just want what I requested from you ASAP, I did not call to argue with you" and the lady got all flustered and said okay and hung up. She faxed over the contract my parents signed, 2 letters she sent us (both dated sometime in July) and a payment history. Well the last time my parents made a full payment was May, my Mom made a half a payment in June (with the same lady's okay, go figure) and that's when she went on Monday to pay the rest of June and all of July. Even though my parents did not make their payments on time, I really feel that the storage place should have made MORE of an effort to get a hold of us. Oh and get this. Guess how much they got for ALL of our stuff?? $280!! I about FLIPPED (okay I did) when I saw that.

My Mom was still really upset about it yesterday, she's doing much better now. I told her not to worry, everything can be replaced. We're very lucky none of that was personal, sentimental stuff. We couldn't keep my grandparent's couches forever anyways. You live and learn, I guess.

Thank you all ladies for all your wonderful support. You all have no idea how much better you made me feel.

On another note, it's SO HOT! And I just ate 6 pieces of pineapple pizza. YUM!

Dawn, you are such a sweetheart. That is a wonderful idea about antique stores and such. With how cheap they sold everything, I wouldn't be surprised if people were trying to resell any of that for a profit.

I hope you can get some recourse! I also just want to get in my car and drive to Camarillo and take you to lunch but then my office phone rang and I thought ‘oh yes, I have to work to pay my bills’! If I had some extra hours at lunch I would be there in a flash.
Oh Vicki, thank you! You're so sweet about thinking of me to wan to come to Camarillo! Just the thought of it is so sweet of you.

Ew, what a creep. Be safe, Cheryl.

My chihuahua chewed through my laptop charger cord when she was a puppy. Crazy dogs will eat anything. Hope you get a replacement for them soon.

I have been a bit busy this week and was just able to catch up.

Kate sorry about your car.

Kelly I really hope you're feeling better soon

Courtney I am so sorry your family is going through all of this

Tina that lady sounds horrible and I'm sorry that you have to deal with her every week.

Cherly that is creepy about the ex, I hope it doesn't continue. Also our puppy is/was a chewer but he prefers wood objects for some reason like our dining room chairs and the door frames in particular.

Here's some pixie dust Sarah in hopes you get the time off in Feb/Mar you really deserve it and some more for your dh's interview.

All those that are happy this week is almost over please raise your hand

With Josh on his vacation I'm at home with the kids and enjoying our time together. Poor Josh caught some illness from his mom and brother and is not doing well. Keep him in your thoughts please and hope that he gets better soon so he can enjoy his vacation with his family.

The last 2 nights I've been at the elementary school for back to school night. This is the first time since Selena was in kindergarden that I was able to go to back to school night. I enjoyed being able to meet their teachers and see their classrooms.

This evening I had a babysitter watch the kids so I could attend an Airman Leadership Graduation. One of my Airmen was graduating. The dinner was nice and the guest speaker was funny, eloquent, and motivational.

So after 3 busy nights in a row I'm looking forward to not doing anything tomorrow night accept put my feet up.

Take care, talk to you all this weekend.

I forgot on my previous post to say to all of the new people on the thread. I hope you are all able to come on this upcoming trip.

Courtney--you not only need to get the letters you need to get proof of service from them. Just because they can produce letters doesn't mean they were ever sent. What address were they sent to?
