Good morning everyone! I had a really nice time with Lisa my friend who works for Priceline last night in Hollywood. Both of us being from Denver we felt like ‘country bumpkins’ but we had a great time talking and catching up and of course talking ‘hotel talk’.

Yay! I love WDW planning! We are thinking about taking the kids next summer. I love WDW. I probably will get to sneak a trip in to WDW when my parents make their yearly trip in Feb. to their time share. Last year I crashed their trip for the entire two weeks! Worked from their condo for one week and then spent the second week at WDW. And then Bob had to go work in their Orlando office for a week in March so I tagged along and we snuck off to WDW a couple of times. I just can’t help myself if someone in my family says they are going to Orlando…they know they will have a stow-away!

Awe Courtney I am soooo sorry to hear this happened to your family! When I was reading your heartbreaking story and (you are right it is only material stuff but it was your families stuff and it still holds value to you all, not fair of them at all) I was thinking…oh Cheryl any advice for them and then I read her comments. I hope you can get some recourse! I also just want to get in my car and drive to Camarillo and take you to lunch but then my office phone rang and I thought ‘oh yes, I have to work to pay my bills’! If I had some extra hours at lunch I would be there in a flash.

I have one of those too! She is spoiled but there is a big difference between being spoiled and Appreciative and being a brat who expects everything to be given to them. It’s so hard not to spoil an only child…they are your ONLY one and your ONLY chance to be a parent. All of your attention is theirs and the money you would have to spend on siblings is there for them alone.

As the time gets closer, we may have two options for most meals. It's really difficult to try and schedule over 30 ladies at one meal, but 10-12 is easy-peasy.

I thought the Storyteller breakfast last year was a huge success, but we did have 4 tables of 8 or something like that, didn't we?

Good Morning all! The kids are back to school so my house is so peaceful right now .

I will try to post a picture of the baby's tooth a little later. None of the pictures have really turned out, but since I have some peace in the house, I'm going to take some pictures of her today.

I also love the idea of doing Animation Academy after the Cove Bar. Count me in on this .

Thanks everyone for your thoughtfulness of my situation. All I can say is I'm SOOOO HAPPY I purchased the GAP insurance when I got the car. Otherwise I would have owed almost $9,000 still on the car (the difference between what insurance paid & what I still owed). Since I don't have a car payment anymore, I can at least save what I was paying before.


Courtney- I don't know how I missed this yesterday, but that is just awful. How can people be so MEAN & inconsiderate . Your parents should definitely pursue the issue since they never received any warnings.

Don't worry, you won't be alone! Don't be intimidated. It's all there on the front page. Any changes are always updated in the schedule so even if you miss a few days of the thread, you can always check the first page for updates, info and links.

I will have a sign up list for each and every meal as well as the tours, but not just yet. We still have almost 6 months to go, and I've found from previous experience if you start the sign ups too soon, it just gets too confusing. People make changes, and things get moved around, etc.

For now, just be looking at the schedule, and keeping in mind the things you want to do, then once the sign ups start you can post which meals, tours, and events you'd like to be added to.

Thanks for reminding me about dear Art the greeter. Such a sweetheart. Theresa, if you go, Art stands in the lobby during the day and greets people in his spiffy white uniform. Bring a tiny tiny gift card you can use as a tip there as technically they are not supposed to accept money and have a nice photo taken with him. He's a treasure, been there a long time.

If a balcony is important, not all rooms have a full balcony and if view is important (it is to us), some std rooms have a view of a graveled rooftop - glaringly awful. A request for a volley ball court view will take care of that - it is a std view, a very close walk to International Gateway...great room location. Best location we had at BC. Of course, if you book a water view , then it will be lovely (still could have a step out balcony though). A full balcony can also be a request.

Yes, you reminded me of the whole view concern I had with BC before I arrived. I thought I could get a balcony view of the fireworks, but not really. We had a tiny step out balcony, no sitting room, but with a water view (we booked it), so there was a wonderful view of the lagoon and the boardwalk. But it was easier to walk downstairs to see the fireworks. We also had a room that was in a hallway where there were no rooms across from us - that made it nice and quiet (our request).

I think Jesse will love the pool there.

Heather and I did the animation studio for the first time. In addition to the drawing part, and that is lovely, the studio has nice seats and a wonderful stage, he also showed us a sneak peak at the new animated feature The Princess and the Frog - it looked fantastic! I'm sure this trailer will be shown at D23 as well.

I am actually in charge of 31 (soon to be 33 as we add new chapters this spring) fraternities and sororities on a college campus. So, I teach, but not in a classroom. I work year round, but my summer hours are VERY different than the academic year. During the school year I have to attend evening meetings every Monday and Wednesday night that keep me on campus late, but usually I leave around 4 on Tuesdays and 4:30 on Thursdays. But, because it is the first week of school we have big welcome to campus type events every night this week. Most of the time it doesn't bother me to work late, but this week I'm running on fumes and it's only early afternoon on Wed!

However, Vicki is totally right, there is a ton of energy and enthusiasm and my work environment tends to be pretty fun! For instance, we just held the draft for our office fantasy football league over lunch today and most days include Starbucks runs (thanks again to all who contributed to my birthday gift card--there is pure caffeine running through my veins these days) and other fun types of breaks.

I read this last night but was unable to comment via my phone. I'm SO sorry this happened. It sounds UBER fishy and you should definitely DEMAND the copies of the "official papers" they sent your parents. If they don't have any, I would definitely take them to court. It's likely they have done this to many other people

I'm sorry about your car trouble! My roomie, a freshman, went to visit her friend close to school this past weekend. Some lady was making a left turn into the apartment complex and drove into my roomie's car at 35mph! Luckily she wasn't in the car and someone went to up to get her from her friend's apt. The lady had a bottle of brandy in the car

You can get one for your local area so you have the coupons to use at home. All they need to see is the card that comes in the front of the book. Make sure you get the 2009-2010 book. They are available at lots of school fundraisers and also at the Entertainment website.
