snow globes are no-goes

Just a quick mention to those who also have a snobe globe colletor among you... Your new Disney snow globe will not be allowed in the plane cabin with you on your return flight.

The TSA will take it away. Maybe because of the liquid inside, or the broken glass knife you could make out of it? You can send it in checked baggage or mail it back home.

Do't let the airport security taking your chil'd's prize away, be their one lasting memory of all your vacation.

This has been a rule for quite a while (at least since my trip to San Diego last October).

I undertsand that they have signs near snow globe displays around WDW warning you that they will have to be shipped or packed carefully in your checked bags.

It's because of the 3-1-1 rule.

Yes, they do have signs. It also says it on the bottom of every single receipt.

It's also been reported that even if it follows the 3 1 1 rule and can go in your zip lock bag, its still not allowed in the cabin.
