character meals
Is it cheaper to buy your character meals through your travel package (costco) or when you get there. I have not been able to find the prices for lunch or dinners. I am thinking of adding Ariel's Grotto and Goofy's Kitchen. On Costco they are about $90.00 for my family of 4.
Thanks in advance. |

I agree, $90 for seems cheaper than walk up prices. I think the PPH "Aloha Breakfast" was around $25 per person last November.

I think the prices are the same. We paid $91 at the M&F breakfast I think, last week, 2 adults, 2 kids.

It is cheaper on Costco, but funny thing today while I was starting to book ressies, the price kept changing from $90. something to $105 then 111. weird. I thought I heard somewhere else that you could buy the character meals ahead of time without a package. Hopefully someone will chime in about this.

You can buy the meal vouchers from ARES travel without purchasing a package.
Breakfast with Minnie is $30/$16 Ariels Grotto is $33/$18 Goofy's Kitchen is $38/$16 I have been considering buying them since the vouchers include tax and tip. |

Getawaytoday was a few $$ more than Ares. Also on both sites the breakfast is for any character breakfast, not just Minnie.

No problem. ARES has a convenience fee, but even with it ARES was about $8 cheaper for 4 adults and 2 kids. I got Ariel Dinner for $33 and Goofy Brunch for $30!

Would they do a "will call" situation where they would have the tickets waiting? We are leaving tomorrow night! I'd love to try Lilo & Stitch breakfast! ; ) Kelly

So if I am figuring all of this out correctly, it's cheaper to buy the vouchers on Ares for Ariel's Grotto even with our Deluxe AP discount.
I just called Disney Dining and was told that AG would be $40.01 for adults and $22.50 for kids (includes tax and gratuity). This is for our mid-November trip BTW, currently it's $45 something and $20 for kids. So for two adults and a child I still save a few bucks getting the vouchers. Am I missing something?

Ares has a Print your voucher option. I'm not sure how long it take for them to email them to you.

Ares is super quick. You can order your vouchers in about 2 minutes, and then print them instantly, or send them to an email and print them at a later date. The email goes out immediately.
