BLT Balcony Gap?

Can someone confirm that there is a foot or more gap between the balcony partition and the balcony railing at BLT? Is there enough of a gap so that someone can squeeze through onto someone else's balcony? That's not how the model looked to me and I would have noticed that.

Thanks.

Ample room to squeeze onto your neighbor's balcony.

Well that certainly sounds like a child falling to their death sort of a hazard. ???

Sounds like a terrible design flaw. I can't imagine any desired "appearance" that would be worth leaving a hazard like this in the final design and construction.

Wait. . .what?? We are staying there with 2 toddlers! Please someone staying there tell me this isnt true. I would never let them alone out on the balcony but still that seems crazy to me.

The gap is between your balcony and your neighbors. Not between your balcony and a free fall.

That said, I would still be concerned a toddler would go over to the neighbors and climb on the patio furniture which could lead to a fall.

Thanks for the clarification. We were just at the beach with a balcony and we really didnt even use it with the kids. It seems like a nice place for DH and I to chill after we put the LOs to bed.

Well, not that you can see the balconies close up, but these new photos give you an idea of the set up.
