DAY 7-APRIL 7th.

I was woken by a sudden 'bump in the night' at 2-10am

.Now i am a chicken there's no doubt about it,i lay there-heart beating so loud+quick+was too scared to turn over to where the 'noise' was.So i waited to hear if there was anymore noise,there was'nt,so i rolled over,opened my eyes+tried to look around but it was so dark.So very quietly+carefully i got out of bed+tried to manouvere myself in between the 2 beds as not to wake the others.The next thing i knew i had tripped over what felt like someone on the floor

,i screamed+shouted for Tony,Tony woke up+quickly put the lamp on,Emily was crying as i had frightened her+Chloe-well she was none the wiser that it was her that i had tripped over

,she had fallen out of bed+did'nt even know

.Thankfully there was no injuries.It took a while for me+Emily to go back to sleep,but the other 2 were out like a light

.

I then re-woke at 7.20am,i got myself up+ready,watched a little news+read our free USA Today paper,whilst drinking a cup of tea+eating a Banana muffin.I woke the others at 8.30am,and made them a junk breakfast of Banana Muffin,Cheetos,Fudge Cookie+Orange Juice-nice+healthy

.Whilst they were eating i popped to reception to have a word with Robert-one of the senior managers(who since we had checked in had taken a shine to our girls+was so nice to them),about someone helping me out by picking up a birthday cake for Chloe's Birthday on April 9th for me from Walmart/Walgreens,so that it would be in the room waiting for her when we returned from Mk.I also offered petrol money+obviously the cost of the cake.Well he was'nt having any of it-he insisted that the Hotel would pay for her cake+would put it in the room whilst we were out

.I was so chuffed-i had a lump in my throat that someone could be so nice

.So with times sorted when we would be back from MK on that day-i was about to walk off when he called me back+asked if i have just a couple of minutes to spare,which of course i did.He went out the back+came back about 2mins later+gave me a written voucher for $100 for the 4 of us to have a Birthday Meal anywhere on I-Drive for Chloe's Birthday,well i was so shocked that i did end up with a few tears in my eyes.We just had to make sure we kept the restaurant's receipt as proof,pay the bill+the Hotel would re-imburse us

.I went back to the room+told the other 3 about the voucher+told Chloe that we could use it tonight+she picked Olive Garden.
We left the hotel at 10.10am..these are inside our hotel......

it was freezing today+really windy

,about 58deg, and got the I-Ride all the way down to Wet+Wild,so we could take a slow walk back-looking in all the cheap/junk shops along the way.I managed to get some Disney Pens/Pencils/Stickers for Chloe+Emily's school friends-much cheaper than what it would have cost in the parks.They also chose some little bits for themselves,Tinkerbell crayons,Notebooks,Tinkerball paddle ball,Stickers+some Magnets.
We arrived at Chuck-E-Cheese (click here for info http://www.chuckecheese.com/ i highly recommend this place for kids-especially if it's a rainy day)at 11-45am,where the girls played for 30mins before we had lunch.Before we came away i signed the girls up to the website,and we got lots of coupons for money off meal deals,and free play tokens

.So for $41 we got a 12 slice Supercombo pizza-red onion,pepperoni,mushroom,beef+sausage,large fries+4 refillable drinks(just help yourself at the soda mahines)and 240 tokens(each game takes 1 token).
(When we had eaten i phoned Olive Garden to make a resevation for 6.30pm-but they don't take reservations after 4-30pm

,which personally i think is quite silly,so we will just have to take pot luck with getting a table,as i know this place gets really long wait times).
The girls had great fun in Chuck-E-Cheese,and after playing the games+collecting the tokens that they spit out,they exchanged them for some little toys,sweets,stickers,balls etc...

We left+walked back to the hotel arriving at 4pm,where we watched a little telly,freshened up+was out the Hotel at 6-30pm for dinner.We went next door to Olive Garden and was hit with a 50min wait time

,i knew this would happen+was not best pleased.None of us wanted to wait so Chloe picked Cattleman's Steakhouse across the road,where we were seated straight away.
Me--16oz Prime Rib,Fries+2 bottles Bud(only $1 each)
Tony--9oz Fillet Mignon,Baked Potato+2 bottles Bud.
Chloe--Fried Chicken Fingers,Fries,3 Dips+Coke
Emily--Kids Cheese Pizza,Fries+Coke
We all shared a Key Lime Shortcake and a Brownie+Ice Cream for dessert.
Total was an expensive $121.96 inc tip.I know we did'nt pay for it,apart from the odd $21.96,but i deffinatley would'nt have been happy paying the full amount for what we got.Both mine+Tony's steaks were good-no doubt about it.I got just a handful of fries,Tony's baked potato was ok-the middle was hard.Chloe's chicken fingers were way overdone-hard+snapped when broke in half.Emily's pizza was burnt underneath.The desserts were very nice.....

We got back to the Hotel at 8-15pm-where true to his word Robert re-imbursed me the $100-i did'nt have the heart to tell him the meal was'nt great

.
Tony+the girls got changed+went swimming.I did'nt feel like it,and just filmed them+took some pics....

Back to the room,were the girls were bathed+in bed by 9.30pm.Me+Tony were showered and in bed by 11.10pm.

I hope you gave Chloe a good telling off for falling out of bed and frightening the life out of you.

Sounds like you had a great day despite the poor quality meal at the end.

Sounds like you had a hotel with some great customer service.
DS and DD have often mentioned trying Chucky Cheese but we have always bypassed it - might have to give it a go next trip - especially with 3 kids to keep happy this time.
Also seems that Chloe made a quick recovery from her fall - unlike yourself

Glad she didn't hurt herself.

What a lovely thing for the manager to do, shame your meal wasn't very nice though.....bottle of bud for $1.
