Do You Clean The Inside Of Your Car?

Whenever we vacation and use our car for the trip I do a thorough cleaning of the interior, usually about three times a year. Everything gets scrubbed and I even replace the 'Car Jar' air freshener. I will go through the car wash the night before we leave. My DH thinks I am a little funny but appreciates the results.
I have never noticed any of my neighbors cleaning the inside of their cars, and wonder if they have it done at the car wash or don't bother at all? My Dad always had me clean the inside of the family car about once a month, so I guess I just grew up doing it.

Ours gets a thorough cleaning AFTER our vacation because the kids always make a huge mess. We go to the beach a couple times a year, too, so the interior requires a good cleaning after we return. Before would just be aggravating for us because of the dirt, sand, mud, grass, trash, spilled food and/or drinks during the trip. Works for us.

I have 3 shepherds that can shed enough for another shepherd in about an hour. So I open all the doors and tailgate. Take a leaf-blower and Ka-Poof. Clean interior.

Yes, there's nothing like driving in a nice clean car. I also get rug cleaner and lightly spray and scrub all the upholstery in the car and vacumm it when it dries too. I would do it more often but I don't have the time. So I clean it when we use it for vacation, I love the way it smells so clean when we're driving.

My husband has been known to armor all the interior, clean the leather seats with leather cleaner, shampoo the carpets, etc.

I usually take it to a full service car wash and they vacuum and wipe down the interior which is enough for me.

Absolutely. I vacuum the inside, dust and wash the inside of the windows a couple times a month.

The outside gets washed every time I fill up with gas, usually every 10-12 days.

It goes to the car wash for a full interior cleaning at least once a month. I gave up my daily Starbucks habit, so the car could get the VIP treatment on the regular basis.

Every Friday, I clean out all the trash before going into work. I'm totally guilty of breakfast in the car. It's just much easier to keep a trash bag ready to go. I also try to wipe down the dashboard myself every week or so.

When I clean my car I will vacuum out the inside, clean the seats, all the windows, dash, under the seats, etc...

I am actually looking forward to doing that as I haven't done it since last August but right now it is a sand pit from going to the beach. So I am not about to clean it yet, maybe in September.

sound like me. I haven't thoroughly cleaned our interior since around March. I refuse to clean the inside until baseball is done. We finished a week ago and now have football (started yesterday). I will suck up the dirt from the ball field but won't give it a thorough cleaning until we're done with a sport. In past years it would be middle of June. Youngest son made a travel team and it prolonged our season until the end of July.

The girls and I do the minivan about every month and DH does a BIG inside cleaning every few months when he takes it to work to wash the outside. They sell cars at work so all of them have to look GOOD.

I used to wash my car and inside regularly but now do it only every so often and defenetly before trips. The hubby is a real slob when it comes to using the car. I should clean it more often, but I do clean it when he spills his coffe and walks away lol

We don't but my step-brother does for us every other week or so. He's without a car right now and asks to borrow ours a couple times a week. He cleans the van instead of giving us gas money. Works out perfectly since we hate to clean the van.

Now if we didn't have this arrangement, the van would hardly ever get cleaned. But it does have to be cleaned before any trip that we take that requires us to drive for a few hours.

I go to the car wash every week. They do the exterior and interior. Two time a year I take it to be detailed. I hate a dirty car!

DH, on the other hand, washes his truck maybe twice a year, exterior only. The interior gets cleaned less than once a year.

Needless to say, when we go out together, we go in my car!
